Perez's contract was selected from Double-A Pensacola on Friday.

Perez will make his major-league debut as the Marlins' starter during Friday's matchup against the Reds. He's been productive at Pensacola to begin the year, posting a 2.32 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 42:9 K:BB in 31 innings over six starts. Perez has an impressive four-pitch arsenal with solid command and has the tools to succeed at the big-league level.

Anderson was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Anderson was designated for assignment by the Rays on Wednesday but will land with a new organization a few days later. The right-hander tossed five scoreless innings over two relief appearances with Tampa Bay to begin the year. Although he picked up his first career save in early May, he'll likely serve as a middle reliever in Colorado, or he could step in as a starter if Antonio Senzatela (forearm) is forced to miss time.

Henry (1-1) took the loss Thursday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over 6.2 innings against the Giants. He struck out two.

Henry was solid against the Giants lineup, but the Diamondbacks couldn't score until the ninth inning. Henry went deeper than he had in any game this season, but he still only picked up two strikeouts. He has just nine punchouts in 22.1 innings on the season.

Cobb (3-1) earned the win Thursday, pitching 7.1 shutout innings while allowing seven hits and two walks against Arizona. He struck out three.

Cobb was lifted after 104 pitches in the eighth inning after walking Josh Rojas. It was the third time in four starts that Cobb did not allow a run. His ERA is down to 1.70, well below his career 3.76 ERA. However, Cobb's WHIP sits at 1.24, nearly identical to his career 1.26 WHIP. So an ERA regression is likely coming.

Darvish allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out seven batters in a no-decision against Minnesota on Thursday.

Darvish was efficient in the outing, needing a modest 80 pitches (52 of which were strikes) to get through six frames. He departed with a one-run lead, but the Padres bullpen couldn't hold it, saddling Darvish with a no-decision. The right-hander nonetheless picked up his third quality start of the campaign and lowered his ERA to 3.16. Darvish also sports a 1.08 WHIP and 47:14 K:BB across 42.2 innings.

Senga (4-2) took the loss against Cincinnati on Thursday, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over five innings.

That Senga was able to give the Mets five frames may be considered a small moral victory after he was tagged for five hits and four runs in the first inning. The right-hander settled in from there and yielded just one more run, but New York's offense couldn't push anything across the plate in the shutout loss. Both the five runs and eights hits were season-worst marks for Senga, who was coming off six scoreless innings against Colorado in his previous start. His season ERA now sits at 4.14, and he's posted a 43:23 K:BB over 37 frames.

Lively (1-0) was credited with the win against the Mets on Thursday, allowing four hits and striking out one batter over three innings.

Derek Law drew the start for the Reds and went 1.1 frames. Cincinnati put up four runs in the bottom of the first, and Lively was credited with the victory as a result of following Law and keeping New York off the scoreboard over his three innings. This was Lively's first major-league win since 2017 and his first big-league appearance since 2019. The right-hander looks to be in line to fill the void left when Luis Cessa was designated for assignment Tuesday, though it's not yet clear if Lively will be working entirely as a bulk reliever or if he may see traditional starts.

Davies (oblique) is scheduled to pitch in another extended spring training game Sunday or Monday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Davies tossed 34 pitches over two innings in his first extended spring training start Tuesday in Arizona and will try to work four innings or around 55 pitches in his second outing. The 30-year-old right-hander is almost fully recovered from the oblique strain he suffered in early April and should be an option for the Diamondbacks' rotation later this month.

Bruns was promoted from Single-A Rancho Cucamonga to High-A Great Lakes on Thursday.

The 20-year-old southpaw made a return trip to Single-A to start the year and showed significant gains over 21 innings in six starts. Bruns' 14.8 percent walk rate was still quite high, but it represented a significant improvement for him, and his 1.29 ERA and 37.5 percent strikeout rate warranted a bump in competition.

Williams (elbow) was activated to the roster Thursday at Single-A Lake Elsinore, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

Williams is set to make his professional debut with the Padres' affiliate in the California League. He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2021 before being selected by San Diego in the third round of the 2022 MLB Draft. The young right-hander struck out 45 batters over 37 innings (seven starts, two relief appearances) in his final season at Duke.
