Wicks worked around a walk to toss a scoreless inning of relief and earn the save in Sunday's 4-3, extra inning win over the Brewers.

With the Cubs starting opener Ryan Rolison, the team had already gone through six pitchers by the time Wicks came on in the 10th. The lefty did a good job of working out of some trouble left behind by Ethan Roberts, and that earned Wicks his first save of the season and just the second of his MLB career. The 26-year-old is still sitting with a rough 13.50 ERA overall, and he's not really in the mix for saves most days as more of a low-leverage option.

Singer (3-7) took the loss Sunday against the Pirates, allowing five runs on nine hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out six.

Four of the runs charged to Singer came in the second inning, when Pittsburgh led off the frame with four consecutive hits, capped by a Tyler Callihan two-run homer. Coming into the day, Singer had pitched to a 2.33 ERA across 27 innings in his previous five outings. Overall, his ERA sits at 5.12 with a 1.54 WHIP and 65:25 K:BB across 16 starts (77.1 innings) this season. Singer is currently lined up to face the Orioles at home his next time out.

Henderson (back) was sent to Triple-A Nashville to begin a minor-league rehab assignment Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Henderson will return to the mound in a contest for the first time since suffering a lower-back strain in late May. The right-hander has posted a 2.74 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 30 strikeouts over 23 innings across five starts with the Brewers so far this season, and he has a strong chance of securing a spot in the major-league rotation once healthy.

King (5-7) allowed four runs on three hits, four walks and two hit batsmen while striking out five over 4.1 innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Sunday.

King threw just 54 of 90 pitches for strikes. His sharp outing versus Atlanta last Monday looks like the anomaly -- he's walked at least three batters in three of his last four starts, and he's also plunked three batters over that span. King is at a 3.55 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 83:39 K:BB through 96.1 innings over 17 starts this season. He is projected to make his next start in a road rematch with the Dodgers.

Luzardo took a no-decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing one run on four hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out six.

Luzardo mostly cruised through four scoreless innings to begin the afternoon, but the Mets were able to scratch a run across during the fifth frame. Sunday also marked four consecutive starts with two earned runs allowed or fewer for the hard-throwing southpaw, who has also accomplished that feat in eight of his last nine outings. Luzardo will take a 3.88 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 116:33 K:BB over 97.1 innings into his next scheduled start against the lowly Royals.

Sheehan (4-5) allowed one run on two hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out five over five innings to earn the win over the Padres on Sunday.

Sheehan put together a decent performance, throwing 55 of 84 pitches for strikes to snap his four-game losing streak and six-game winless stretch. He had fallen short of the five-inning mark in two of his previous three outings. While Sunday's outing was better, he still has a shaky 5.08 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and 81:22 K:BB across 72.2 innings over 15 starts this season. Sheehan's next start is projected to be at home in a rematch with the Padres.

Keller (6-5) earned the win Sunday over the Reds, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.

The win is the first since May 24 for Keller, who had struggled to an 8.25 ERA across 24 innings in his previous five starts. Overall, the right-hander sports a 4.87 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP and 73:33 K:BB through 17 starts (94.1 innings) this season. Keller is currently in line to face the Nationals on the road in his next outing.

Sale (8-6) allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits and a walk while striking out 10 over six innings, taking the loss versus San Francisco on Sunday.

Sale was good, throwing 68 of 94 pitches for strikes, but Robbie Ray was a little more efficient in this pitching duel. Sale hadn't completed six innings in any of his last four outings, giving up nine runs (seven earned) over 22 frames in that span. This was his second game with double-digit strikeouts this season. The star southpaw has a 2.10 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 109:22 K:BB through 90 innings across 15 starts this season. Sale is projected to make his next start at home versus the Mets.

Senga (0-7) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk in five innings of relief. He struck out four.

The Mets elected to roll with the struggling Senga as a bulk reliever for the first time in his major-league career, and the decision may have helped yield one of the hurler's better outings of the season. The 33-year-old right-hander still hasn't permitted fewer than two runs in any appearance, but Sunday marked just the third time this year that he completed at least five frames. Still searching for win No. 1, Senga will carry a woeful 9.09 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 38:23 K:BB across 32.2 innings into his next scheduled outing in Atlanta.

Ray (7-6) allowed one unearned run on four hits and a walk while striking out two over eight innings to earn the win over Atlanta on Sunday.

Ray has not allowed an earned run in his last three games, giving up just two unearned runs on eight hits and seven walks over his last 22.1 innings. He's won all three of those outings, and he gave up just seven runs (five earned) across 33 innings in June. For the season, the southpaw has a 3.39 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 82:43 K:BB across 95.2 innings through 17 appearances (16 starts). Ray's next outing is projected to be on the road in Colorado. He gave up three runs (one earned) over just four innings May 31 at Coors Field.
