Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Kershaw will be placed on the bereavement list in the coming days but will make his next start, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Kershaw will spend the next few days with his family following the recent passing of his mother, but he isn't expected to miss any starts. The southpaw started Sunday against the Cardinals and allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six in 3.2 innings. Assuming he rejoins the team when expected, his next start lines up for next weekend in Tampa Bay.

Gray (4-5) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and six walks over five innings during a 6-4 win over Detroit. He struck out two.

Gray had allowed multiple walks in seven of his first nine starts this year, but his six free passes Sunday were a season high. He tied his season low with five completed innings but still earned the win thanks to an early lead. Gray's ERA has dropped to 2.65, but his 47:28 K:BB over 57.2 innings is trending in the wrong direction. Still, the right-hander remains locked in at the top of the Nationals' rotation and is projected to pitch again in Kansas City next weekend.

Shuster (1-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over six innings in a 3-2 win over the Mariners. He struck out seven.

The only hit Shuster allowed through a career-high six innings was a solo home run to Jarred Kelenic in the second. It was by far the rookie's best start of his short career, as he lowered his ERA from 7.24 to 5.49 and recorded a season-high seven strikeouts. Shuster figures to see plenty of work at the big-league level with Kyle Wright (shoulder) and Max Fried (forearm) not expected back from the injured list until July, especially if he continues to pitch like he did Sunday. The 2020 first-round pick's next start is scheduled during a four-game set versus the Phillies.

Webb has some lingering soreness in his back Sunday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The right-hander was pulled from Saturday's start against the Marlins after six innings with lower-back tightness, and he's experiencing some soreness a day later. Webb has yet to be sent for an MRI, and manager Gabe Kapler said "we're just not sure yet" if the imaging is necessary. The 26-year-old's availability for his next turn through the rotation remains up in the air as he continues to be evaluated.

General manager Ben Cherington said Sunday the Pirates have yet to decide if Velasquez (elbow) will require a second minor-league rehab start, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander made his first rehab outing with Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday and threw 63 pitches across 4.2 scoreless innings. Velasquez has been on the shelf with elbow inflammation since May 5, and Pittsburgh could want to see another start in the minors in order to further build up his workload before re-inserting him into the big-league rotation.

Greene (0-4) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks over seven innings in a 4-1 loss to the Yankees. He struck out 10.

Greene is still winless this season despite punching out 10 batters for the third time in nine outings. He was hurt by the home-run ball Sunday, as the Yankees took the lead on Harrison Bader's two-run shot in the fifth inning before Gleyber Torres added a solo homer in the sixth. Through 50 innings this season, Greene has a mediocre 4.68 ERA and 1.50 WHIP despite a solid 69:20 K:BB.

Stone will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Monday in Atlanta, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

It won't be just a spot start for the 24-year-old, as manager Dave Roberts said the right-hander will fill the rotation spot of Dustin May (forearm) for the "foreseeable future." Stone made his big-league debut May 3 versus the Phillies and surrendered four runs on eight hits with two walks and one strikeout over four frames, but he posted a 2.45 ERA with 14 strikeouts in two starts since returning to Triple-A.

Wainwright will make his next start against the Reds on Tuesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Wainwright was originally penciled in to start Wednesday's contest against Cincinnati, but he'll be moved up to Tuesday. Matthew Liberatore could make the start Wednesday, but his availability for that outing will be determined by whether he's used in the bullpen against the Dodgers on Sunday or the Reds on Monday.

The Dodgers will promote Miller from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Tuesday against Atlanta, Russell Dorsey of Bally Sports reports.

The right-hander is one of Los Angeles' top prospects and will make his MLB debut this week with Julio Urias (hamstring) and Dustin May (forearm) both landing on the injured list within the past few days. Miller has a 5.65 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB across 14.1 innings at Triple-A after missing the first few weeks of the season with shoulder soreness, though he pitched well in his last start with just one run allowed and six strikeouts across six frames.

Nola (4-3) earned the win Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk over seven innings during a 12-3 win over the Cubs. He struck out 10.

Nola got early run support and recorded a season-high 10 strikeouts while cruising through seven innings en route to his fourth win. The lone blemish for the right-hander came via a two-run home run from Dansby Swanson, which continues to be a minor issue for Nola. He's allowed one home run in eight of his 10 starts and holds a 4.31 ERA across 62.2 innings. However, Nola's 1.07 WHIP and 53:13 K:BB to start the year remains elite and suggests the ERA will drop eventually.
