Perez was removed from Sunday's game against Atlanta due to a left groin injury.

Perez left after the third inning of Sunday's contest, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two. Carmen Mlodzinski came in for Perez for the top of the fourth inning. The severity of the injury is not known, and Perez is currently slated to make his next start June 2 against the Blue Jays.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Houser will be available out of the bullpen for Sunday's game against the Giants, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Houser returned to the rotation Tuesday against the Guardians but put up another dud with six runs allowed over five innings. He'll lose his starting spot during the upcoming week, as the Mets will bring David Peterson (hip) back from the 60-day injured list to start Wednesday versus the Dodgers. Houser has struggled to an 8.55 ERA in seven starts this season, but he's pitched better in his two relief outings with just one earned run allowed over four frames.

Snell (personal) was reinstated from the paternity list Sunday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, Snell is still awaiting the birth of his baby, despite stepping away from the team for the last three days in anticipation of welcoming a new addition to his family. The left-hander was placed on the paternity list a day after he made his most recent start Wednesday against the Pirates, but he won't end up missing a turn now that he's back on the active roster. He's expected to take the hill Monday against the Phillies, though he could go back on the paternity list during the upcoming week if his child ends up being born.

The Mets have officially announced Peterson (hip) as the starter for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Peterson underwent surgery for a torn labrum in his left hip this offseason and opened the season on the 60-day injured list, but he'll make his long awaited return on the mound against Los Angeles. The southpaw recorded a 5.03 ERA and 1.57 WHIP with a 128:50 K:BB across 27 appearances (21 starts) last season with the Mets.

Gasser won't start Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

The left-hander lined up to start on regular rest Sunday after he allowed four earned runs over six innings Tuesday at Miami, but Tobias Myers will instead receive the nod in Boston. Gasser is now expected to take the mound during the upcoming four-game series versus the Cubs, which begins Monday.

Myers will start Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Myers was called up from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday and immediately delivered a scoreless frame that day against Miami. The right-hander started in his previous four MLB appearances this season, and he's now stepping into the rotation spot of Joe Ross (back). Myers has a 5.00 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB across 18 innings for the Brewers this season, and he could receive a couple more turns through the rotation with a solid performance Sunday.

Montgomery (3-2) earned the win over the Marlins on Saturday, allowing two runs on nine hits and one walk over six innings while striking out four.

Montgomery didn't get off to a great start, surrendering a leadoff double to open the contest, followed by an RBI single off the bat of Josh Bell two batters later as the Marlins took an early 1-0 lead. However, the lefty would eventually find his groove, hurling 1-2-3 innings in the second and third before later coughing up one more run on a Jazz Chisholm double in the sixth. Montgomery has now gone at least six innings in five of his seven starts this season, though he's also allowed at least seven hits in four of those outings, including a season-high nine hits in Saturday's win.

Oviedo (elbow) began a throwing program last week at the team's facility in Florida, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Oviedo has begun throwing from 45 feet and will progress to 60 feet soon. He has already been ruled out for the entire 2024 season but is expected to be healthy for spring training heading into the 2025 campaign.

Cease (5-4) was tagged with the loss Saturday, allowing four runs on eight hits over 6.2 innings against the Yankees. He struck out nine.

Cease got himself into trouble right out of the gate after surrendering a leadoff single to Anthony Volpe to open the contest, followed by a two-run shot off the bat of Aaron Judge two batters later. The right-hander would then go on to strike out five of the next seven batters he faced before giving up another two runs in the fourth. Cease has now allowed three or more runs in three consecutive starts, going 0-2 over that stretch. On a positive note, he's recorded at least eight strikeouts in four of his last five outings and has posted a dynamite 42:6 K:BB in May. His 82 strikeouts on the campaign leave him sitting behind only Tyler Glasnow (87) for the league lead.

Severino came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 7-2 extra-inning loss to the Giants, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out six.

The right-hander pitched well enough to secure his third win of the season and left the mound with the Mets nursing a 2-1 lead, but Edwin Diaz blew another save in the ninth inning before the Mets' bullpen fell apart completely in the 10th. Severino settled for his fourth quality start instead, but he's been producing solid numbers in 2024 despite a 10.6 percent walk rate that would be the highest of his career if he can't rein it in. He'll take a 3.22 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 50:26 K:BB through 58.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Diamondbacks.
