Perez tossed seven scoreless innings in Tuesday's defeat to the Royals, allowing just one hit and no walks while striking out five in seven innings. He did not factor into the decision.

Perez was brilliant, allowing just a lone base hit to Bobby Witt in the fourth. He exited with a 4-0 lead after seven strong innings and that lead wound up being squandered by the bullpen, leaving Perez without the win. Perez has now allowed just one earned run in 15.2 innings since returning from the injured list Aug. 13 and he's down to a 2.02 ERA and 0.95 WHIP for the season. Perez lines up to complete a two-start week this weekend against the Yankees.

Messick (1-0) picked up the win in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over the Rays, allowing four hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Making his second career MLB start, Messick baffled Tampa Bay over 98 pitches (66 total strikes) and generated an eye-popping 36 called or swinging strikes. The 24-year-old southpaw has produced back-to-back quality starts to begin his career, giving up just one run with a 12:1 K:BB in 13.2 innings, and while John Means (elbow) is closing in on his Cleveland debut, it's hard to imagine Messick being removed from the rotation given his performance so far. His next start is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Boston.

Lorenzen allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six in five innings Tuesday against the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

The only loud contact allowed was a solo home run off the bat of Colson Montgomery in the second inning. Lorenzen was otherwise able to cruise through five frames but couldn't record an out after coming back out for the sixth, leading to three more runs charged against him. Lorenzen has now allowed eight runs (seven earned) on 16 hits over his last two starts, though he has racked up six strikeouts on both occasions, which is one below his season high. Lorenzen has just one win over his last eight starts and will look to change that next week against the Angels.

Baz (8-11) took the loss Tuesday, giving up three runs on three hits and two walks over six innings as the Rays fell 3-0 to the Guardians. He struck out seven.

The right-hander produced his first quality start since July 12 on 92 pitches (62 strikes), but Baz got no run support to remain winless over his last 10 trips to the mound. During that span, he's gone 0-8 with a 6.58 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 64:19 K:BB over 53.1 innings. Baz will try to get back in the win column in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Mariners.

Bradish (0-1) took the loss Tuesday as the Orioles were downed 5-0 by the Red Sox, giving up two runs on four hits over six innings. He struck out 10 without walking a batter.

The 28-year-old righty staged an impressive return from elbow surgery, as Bradish racked up 15 swinging strikes among his 81 pitches (51 total strikes). He served up solo shots to Trevor Story and David Hamilton, but a lack of run support more than anything spoiled Bradish's 2025 debut. Bradish will look for a better result in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in San Diego.

Giolito (9-2) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing four hits and a walk over eight scoreless innings in a 5-0 victory over the Orioles. He struck out eight.

Baltimore didn't get a runner past second base as Giolito racked up 32 called or swinging strikes among his 104 pitches (69 total strikes). The right-hander has gone 3-0 with four quality starts in his last six trips to the mound, a stretch in which he's compiled a 2.39 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB over 37.2 innings. Giolito will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Pirates.

Means (elbow) allowed four runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings in his rehab start for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Means made his third rehab start and first at the Triple-A level, where he experienced more pushback than his previous outings at High-A Lake County. All three hits allowed by the left-hander left the park. On a more positive note, Means upped his pitch count to 61, putting him another rehab start or two away from potentially returning from the 60-day injured list and joining the Guardians rotation in September.

Kikuchi (6-9) took the loss Tuesday against the Rangers, allowing six runs on four hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out three.

Kikuchi has been quite dependable overall for the Angels and fantasy managers in 2025, but he conceded more than four runs for the first time this year Tuesday. The Japanese left-hander has also struggled with consistency since the beginning of July, posting a 5.18 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 57:20 K:BB over his last 57.1 innings. Kikuchi will try to regain his footing next week against the division-rival Astros, who have a weak .667 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the All-Star break.

Corbin (7-9) earned the win Tuesday against the Angels, allowing three hits and one walk in eight shutout innings. He struck out eight.

On a day when the Rangers learned that ace Nathan Eovaldi (shoulder) is unlikely to return this season, Corbin delivered arguably his finest performance of the year. The veteran southpaw matched a season high in innings, fell one punchout shy of his season best and tied a season low in hits allowed while logging his first scoreless start of at least six frames on the campaign. Corbin will carry a 4.33 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 109:43 K:BB over 131 innings into his next scheduled start, which is set to be a tough matchup against an Arizona club with an .830 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the beginning of August.

Morton allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Tuesday.

Morton had trouble early, allowing a three-run home run to Jacob Wilson in the first inning. A pair of wild pitches didn't help Morton's performance, but the Tigers' offense spared him from ending up with a loss. Morton is now at a 5.25 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 137:58 K:BB through 128.2 innings over 28 appearances (22 starts) between Detroit and Baltimore this season. The right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Mets.
