The Orioles recalled Nunez from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.

To make room for him on the 26-man roster, Baltimore DFA'd Albert Suarez. Nunez has pitched in 40 games out the Orioles' bullpen this season, registering a 4.60 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 46:22 K:BB across 45 innings.

The Reds optioned Maxwell to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.

He's clearing off the roster to make room for the return of Tony Santillan from the injured list. Maxwell gave up one run over three innings covering two appearances during his most recent stint in the Reds' bullpen.

The Reds activated Santillan (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Friday.

Santillan has missed the past two months of action with a severely strained oblique, but he's ready to roll after making three spotless rehab appearances. The right-handed reliever is slated to work in a setup role ahead of closer Emilio Pagan.

The Athletics optioned Rashi to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

The right-hander was called up by the A's on Tuesday after being claimed off waivers and will head to Triple-A after giving up a run across two innings during his team debut Thursday in Kansas City. Rashi has surrendered five earned runs with a 5:3 K:BB over 5.2 frames between the Diamondbacks and Athletics this year.

Seymour allowed one hit while striking out two in one scoreless inning during Thursday's 5-2 loss to Cleveland.

Seymour collected his third straight scoreless outing Thursday, throwing 11 of his 14 pitches for strikes. Across seven appearances with the Giants this season, the 27-year-old owns a 5.79 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB in 14 innings.

Lopez (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Lopez is working his way back from left knee inflammation, which has kept him out for all of August. The veteran right-hander's last six appearances for Atlanta were as a starting pitcher, but he could be used as a reliever upon his return. If that happens, it might shorten his rehab assignment.

Gastelum is unscored upon in his last five appearances, logging a 12:1 K:BB over 6.1 innings during that span.

Gastelum was rocked for 15 runs (12 earned) with a 10:5 K:BB over 13.1 innings in his first 12 appearances in the majors. The rookie reliever has adjusted nicely, though, settling in as a valuable middle relief arm in St. Louis. Gastelum could move up the leverage ladder if he keeps up his recent form -- he has zero saves and just one hold so far. which came back on July 22.

Soriano was tagged for four runs on one hit and three walks while recording only two outs, both via strikeout, in Thursday's win over the Reds.

In fairness to Soriano, he was pitching for the third time in the series after logging scoreless appearances Monday and Tuesday. The right-hander has been a pleasant surprise for the Cardinals this season but has struggled in August, permitting eight runs with an 11:7 K:BB over eight frames. The 27-year-old ranks third on the team with a career-high 19 holds.

Lord is slated to start Friday's game against the Marlins in Miami.

Lord will make his third consecutive start, though he's covered just 3.1 total innings in his prior two appearances. The Nationals are expected to once again deploy Lord as more of an opener, with lefty Will Dion profiling as the top candidate to pitch in bulk relief.

The Yankees signed Morgan to a minor-league contract Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Morgan had recently elected for free agency after being removed from the Royals' 40-man roster. The right-handed reliever has logged a 5.12 ERA and 16:9 K:BB over 19.1 innings in the majors this season, and he holds a 1.40 ERA and 35:15 K:BB across 25.2 frames at the Triple-A level in 2026.
