The Marlins selected Zuber's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

The 30-year-old reliever made 10 appearances at the big-league level in 2025 between stops with the Marlins and Mets, but he had been pitching exclusively at the Triple-A level this season before receiving a promotion. Though Zuber posted an eye-popping 33.9 K% in 27.2 innings at Triple-A, he struggled to keep the ball in the yard (six home runs allowed) and walked 12.6 percent of the batters he faced. The Marlins have nonetheless opted to bring Zuber aboard as a fresh arm in relief after the team needed six pitchers plus position player Javier Sanoja to cover eight innings during an impromptu bullpen game in Sunday's 10-1 loss to the Mets.

The Marlins optioned White to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

White had a shaky major-league debut Sunday against the Mets, walking four batters, hitting one with a pitch and getting charged with five runs while recording one out. Better days are likely ahead for White, but he'll return to Jacksonville for now and wait for another opportunity.

The Marlins selected Brzykcy's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

Miami will bring Brzykcy aboard as a replacement in the bullpen for right-hander Josh Ekness (calf), who was spotted using crutches in the Marlins' clubhouse following Sunday's loss to the Mets before being placed on the 15-day injured list Monday. Brzykcy has previously made 32 appearances at the big-league level -- all with the Nationals -- over the past two seasons, logging a 10.05 ERA and 1.81 WHIP in 28.2 innings. He's been sharper at Jacksonville so far in 2026 with a 4.79 ERA and 24:12 K:BB across 20.2 innings, but the Marlins aren't likely to turn to Brzykcy in high-leverage spots right away.

The Marlins placed Ekness on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right calf strain.

With the Marlins opting for an impromptu bullpen game during Sunday's eventual 10-1 loss to the Mets after Janson Junk (shin) was scratched ahead of his scheduled start, Ekness looked like a prime candidate to cover multiple innings in relief. The right-hander ended up going unused, however, with Christina De Nicola of MLB.com relaying after the game that Ekness was spotted using crutches to move around the clubhouse. It's unclear when exactly Ekness tweaked his calf, but he'll end up landing on the shelf without having made an appearance for Miami following his promotion from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.

The Reds selected Leibrandt's contract from Triple-A Louisville on Monday.

Leibrandt holds a 5.23 ERA and 38:14 K:BB over 51.2 innings covering 11 starts with Louisville this season. The 33-year-old southpaw will give the Reds a fresh arm and some length for the bullpen.

The Reds designated Marte for assignment Monday.

Marte was knocked around in his lone outing with the big club, allowing four runs while recording just one out. His spot on the 26-man and 40-man rosters will be overtaken by Brandon Leibrandt.

The Astros optioned VanWey to Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday.

VanWey boasts a 5:0 K:BB over three scoreless innings during his time with the Astros this season, but he hasn't been able to nail down a secure spot in the bullpen. The club will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday's game against the Pirates, and it will likely be Josh Hader (biceps) coming off the injured list.

Graterol (shoulder) underwent surgery recently for a back injury he suffered while on a rehab assignment, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

The specifics of the procedure aren't clear, but Harris writes that Graterol's return this season is "in jeopardy." Graterol has been working his way back from right shoulder surgery and has not pitched at the big-league level since 2024. The 27-year-old will be a free agent at the end of this season.

The Marlins plan to recall Gusto from Triple-A Jacksonville during their series in Washington that begins Monday, FishOnFirst.com reports.

Miami is presumably earmarking Gusto for one of the two vacancies in its rotation, after Eury Perez (hamstring) and Janson Junk (shin) were both placed on the injured list over the weekend. The Marlins list Sandy Alcantara and Max Meyer as their starters for Monday and Wednesday, respectively, so Gusto will likely slot into the rotation for the middle game of the series Tuesday and will be deployed as either a traditional starter or bulk reliever. Since the Marlins optioned him to Jacksonville in early April, Gusto has turned in a 3.63 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB in 39.2 innings over nine appearances (six starts).

Atlanta optioned Molina to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Molina was in the bullpen this past weekend in Cincinnati but didn't make an appearance. Atlanta will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jays.
