Kowar and Cole Phillips (elbow) were traded from Atlanta to Seattle on Sunday in exchange for Jarred Kelenic, Marco Gonzales and Evan White, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Kowar was traded from Kansas City to Atlanta in mid-November, and he'll be on the move once again as the Winter Meetings get underway. The 27-year-old was once a highly-regarded prospect, but he's largely struggled in the big leagues. Over 39 appearances (eight starts), he's posted a 9.12 ERA and 2.09 WHIP in 74 innings. If he earns a spot on Seattle's Opening Day roster in 2024, it's possible he has to settle for a role as a long reliever early in the year.

Scrubb signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Scrubb holds a 3.32 ERA and 1.48 WHIP across 43.1 frames in his career from his time with the Astros in 2020-21. Injuries and a lack of interest in free agency have kept Scrubb out of action since then. Considering how long it's been since Scrubb has pitched in a game, he will likely slide into an organizational depth role with the Mets.

Kelly signed a one-year contract with the Dodgers on Saturday, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

The Dodgers declined Kelly's $9.5 million club option earlier in the offseason, but the team will retain the 35-year-old reliever -- likely at a lower salary. Kelly put up a 4.12 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 39.1 innings in 2023, though his numbers significantly improved after being traded to Los Angeles from the White Sox in July (1.74 ERA, 0.87 WHIP in 10.1 innings). It's unlikely Kelly receives many save opportunities given his injury history and the Dodgers' already-strong bullpen, though he could still be used fairly often in high-leverage situations.

The Nationals outrighted La Sorsa to Triple-A Rochester on Friday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

La Sorsa posted a 4.41 ERA and 28:9 K:BB over 32.2 innings of relief this past year between the Rays and Nats. He is now off the 40-man roster in Washington.

Miami claimed Ort (elbow) off waivers from the Mariners on Friday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Ort gave up 19 runs -- 16 earned -- over 23 major-league innings this past season, but he has always excelled in the minors and could perhaps find a spot in the Marlins' Opening Day bullpen if his health cooperates. The 31-year-old battled elbow trouble down the stretch in 2023.

Henriquez signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Nov. 19.

Henriquez was briefly a free agent after being non-tendered by Minnesota but wound up re-signing. The 23-year-old got into three games with the Twins in 2022 but spent all of 2023 in the minors, collecting a 5.68 ERA and 49:36 K:BB over 57 frames for Triple-A St. Paul.

Moran (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Nov. 20, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

The left-handed reliever was non-tendered by the Twins last month but winds up remaining in the organization. Moran recently underwent Tommy John surgery which will sideline him until 2025.

Karcher signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Nov. 17.

The right-hander made one appearance with the Reds in 2023 but spent nearly all of the season at Triple-A Louisville, posting a 4.77 ERA and 70:72 K:BB across 60.1 innings. Karcher figures to begin 2024 at Triple-A Reno.

Doyle signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Nov. 25.

Doyle had been non-tendered by the Rockies and has now landed in a new organization. He holds an 8.31 ERA over 18 relief appearances at the major-league level and has struggled to regain his stuff since shoulder surgery in September of 2021.

The Padres re-signed Espada to a minor-league contract Nov. 25.

Espada elected free agency after the Padres non-tendered him last month but was brought back by the organization a week later. He made one appearance with San Diego in 2023 but spent most of the year between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso, collecting a 2.81 ERA with 110 strikeouts over 83.1 innings.
