Suarez (4-1) took a blown save and the loss in a 4-3 defeat to the Phillies on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits in one-third of an inning.

Suarez coaxed a flyout from Trea Turner for the final out in the eighth inning before the right-hander surrendered four straight hits in the ninth, ultimately allowing two runs to take his first loss and blown save this season. Suarez had allowed just one run in his previous 27 innings coming into Tuesday. He still sports a stellar 1.21 ERA across 29.2 innings this year with a 0.81 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB while logging 17 saves.

Phillips struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Alex Vesia issued a two-out walk, and Phillips was able to strike out Hunter Goodman on five pitches to secure the save after the Dodgers' ninth-inning comeback. Aside from a three-run misstep in Pittsburgh on June 6, Phillips has pitched well since his return from a hamstring injury. He's at 11 saves with a 1.89 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB over 19 innings this season.

The Yankees optioned Andrews to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Tuesday's game versus the Orioles.

Andrews was brought up from the minors before Tuesday's game to help make up for the loss of Cody Poteet (triceps) and Ian Hamilton (lat), but he will now return to Triple-A without appearing in a game. The 27-year-old southpaw owns an unremarkable 5.84 ERA and 1.53 WHIP through 24.2 innings in the minor leagues and has allowed 11 earned runs in just 3.2 frames throughout his MLB career.

Fairbanks was removed from Tuesday's game against the Twins after getting hit in the right hand by a comebacker, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Fairbanks attempted to field a 103-mph grounder off the bat of Carlos Correa with his bare hand during the ninth inning of Tuesday's contest. The reliever threw multiple warmup pitches in an effort to remain in the game, but the Rays' trainers elected to pull him early. Per Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun, the main concern was with Fairbanks' thumb, but his X-rays came back negative after the game, and he appears to be dealing with only a bruise. The Rays might stay away from using the 30-year-old righty out of the bullpen for the next few days, but a trip to the injured list initially looks like it will be avoided.

Munoz earned the save Tuesday in an 8-5 win over Cleveland, allowing one hit while striking out one over 1.2 innings.

The Mariners turned to Munoz after Trent Thornton loaded the bases in the eighth. Munoz would proceed to coax a pair of groundouts to get out of the inning before turning in a scoreless ninth, earning his 13th save of the campaign and his third of four or more outs. The 25-year-old Munoz lowered his ERA to a pristine 1.47 this season with a 0.95 WHIP and 42:10 K:BB across 30.2 innings.

Diaz earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 victory over San Francisco, firing a scoreless inning during which he allowed one hit.

After an RBI double by Pete Alonso provided New York with the lead in the top of the ninth inning, Diaz entered in the bottom of the frame to gather his second save since returning from the injured list June 13. The flamethrowing closer yielded a leadoff single to Jonah Heim before inducing a groundball double play and flyout for his seventh save this season. After struggling with an 8.68 ERA over 9.1 innings in May, Diaz looks healthy again and has regained control of the Mets' closer role.

Thompson picked up the save in Tuesday's 5-2 win over San Francisco. He pitched a scoreless inning while striking out the side.

The Cubs right-hander wasted no time in gathering his fourth career save, requiring 15 pitches to fan three Giants hitters in the ninth inning. Thompson has a 4.30 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB over 14.2 innings this season. Although he earned the save Tuesday, don't expect save chances to continue coming his way, as the back of the Chicago bullpen -- Hector Neris, Mark Leiter and Hayden Wesneski -- all pitched in Monday's loss.

Brebbia picked up the save in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over the Astros, retiring the only batter he faced in the ninth inning.

After rookie Jonathan Cannon turned in 8.2 scoreless innings, Brebbia entered with two men on via a pair of two-out singles. The veteran reliever induced a Victor Caratini groundout to lock down Chicago's 20th win on the season. Michael Kopech has struggled mightily of late -- sporting a 11.37 ERA over 6.1 innings with three blown saves in his last eight appearances -- opening a path for Brebbia to claim the White Sox closer role. The 34-year-old appears ready for more save opportunities, as he owns a 1.17 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 14:1 K:BB across 7.1 innings in June.

Lange was diagnosed Tuesday with a right lat avulsion and is scheduled to undergo surgery next week, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Lange suffered the injury in his appearance with Triple-A Toledo on Friday. The 28-year-old opened the 2024 campaign in Detroit's major-league bullpen before being sent down in late May, compiling a 4.34 ERA and 1.77 WHIP with 21 strikeouts over 18.2 innings in 21 appearances with the Tigers. An exact timetable for Lange's return will likely be provided following the surgery, but he's set to be placed on the minor-league injured list in the near future and could be at risk of missing the rest of the season.

Small (oblique) is slated to throw out to 120 feet this week, MLB.com reports.

Assuming Small responds well to the long-toss throwing, he could be cleared to start throwing off a mound again as soon as next week. Small has spent the entire season on the Giants' 60-day injured list with a moderate right oblique strain. The 27-year-old lefty still has a minor-league option remaining and could be sent to Triple-A Sacramento once the Giants deem him ready to return from the IL.
