Green struck out one in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in a 5-2 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.
Green was summoned to protect a 5-2 lead in the ninth inning and did so on just 12 pitches, including a three-pitch strikeout of Gunnar Henderson. The 33-year-old has converted all nine of his save chances this season while posting a sterling 1.51 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 32:10 K:BB across 35.2 innings.

Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol: Exits with hamstring strain
Graterol was removed from Tuesday's game against the Phillies with a right hamstring strain.
Graterol was grabbing at his right hamstring and had to be helped off the field by a trainer after throwing just eight pitches in the sixth inning of Tuesday's contest. The 25-year-old had been making his season debut after sitting out the first four months of the season due to a shoulder injury, and he'll now presumably undergo testing to determine how much more time -- if any -- he'll have to miss.

Astros' Kendall Graveman: Hoping for late-season return
Graveman (shoulder) had a positive checkup with his doctor in Dallas on Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Graveman has missed the entirety of the 2024 season to this point while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, but he's still holding out hope for a late-season return. The 33-year-old is on the cusp of beginning to throw bullpen sessions, which will be a major step towards potentially being activated from the 60-day injured list down the road.

Athletics' Mason Miller: Activation coming Wednesday
A's manager Mark Kotsay said Miller (finger) is scheduled to be reinstated from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander landed on the shelf just after the All-Star break due to a fractured pinkie finger on his left hand, but he's ready to rejoin the active roster after being sidelined for the 15-day minimum. Miller has a 2.21 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 70:14 K:BB across 40.2 innings this season and should immediately reclaim the closer role from Tyler Ferguson.

Rockies' Sean Sullivan: Debuts at Double-A
The Rockies promoted Sullivan from High-A Spokane to Double-A Hartford on Saturday.
Sullivan made his Double-A debut later that day, working four scoreless innings and striking out two while allowing three hits and one walk. The left-hander was bumped up to Double-A after turning in two straight five-inning, 10-strikeout performances to end his time at High-A. Sullivan forged a 2.16 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 101:8 K:BB in 83.1 innings with Spokane.

Rangers' Walter Pennington: Sent back to minors
The Rangers optioned Pennington to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old will give way to Tyler Mahle on the active roster Tuesday just four days after being called up from Round Rock. Pennington appeared in one game for the Rangers, allowing one run on one hit and three walks across one inning. Pennington was acquired by the Rangers from Kansas City before the trade deadline.

Rockies' Chasen Shreve: Contract selected
The Rockies selected Shreve's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
Shreve was just inked to a minor-league deal Sunday and is now in the majors two days later. The veteran left-hander has been at the Triple-A level all season, posting a 2.62 ERA and 35:12 K:BB over 34.1 innings across three different organizations.

Marlins' Darren McCaughan: Joins Miami bullpen
The Marlins recalled McCaughan from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.
McCaughan has made three appearances in the majors this season between the Marlins and Guardians, allowing 14 runs over 10.2 innings. All 14 of his outings in the minors this season have been starts, but he'll fill a long-relief role in Miami.
