Suarez earned a save against the Twins on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over one inning.

Suarez wasn't exactly sharp in the outing, but he had a three-run lead to work with and performed well enough to pick up the save. The right-hander threw just 12 of 22 pitches for strikes and allowed a run for the third time over his past five appearances, though he's gone 4-for-4 on save opportunities during that span. Despite the moderately bumpy stretch, Suarez still has an outstanding 1.82 ERA and 0.91 WHIP on the season, and he ranks fifth in the majors with 28 saves.

Dominguez (3-3) allowed one run on one hit and struck out one in one-third of an inning to take the loss versus the Mets on Monday.

Dominguez was called on to keep the game tied at 3-3 in the ninth inning, but he allowed a one-out solo home run to Francisco Alvarez. This was the second outing in a row in which Dominguez has given up a run after previously posting a five-inning scoreless streak. For the season, he's now at a 4.24 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 54:15 K:BB over 46.2 innings while adding four saves and five holds. Dominguez has emerged as manager Brandon Hyde's top closing option this month, but his grip on that role is tenuous even with Craig Kimbrel struggling. Yennier Cano and Cionel Perez are also options to see late-inning work.

Phillips struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Monday's 3-0 win over the Mariners.

It was far from a nervy outing, as Phillips threw nine of 13 pitches for strikes to earn his first save since July 23. All three of Phillips, Daniel Hudson and Michael Kopech had pitched Sunday, so it's noteworthy Phillips got the save chance here against the top of the Mariners' order. For the season, he has 16 saves in 18 opportunities along with a 3.40 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 47:12 K:BB through 39.2 innings. The Dodgers' have a bevy of high-leverage options, so don't expect Phillips to be a full-time closer even if he gets more looks going forward than he did over the last month.

Miller earned a save over the Rays on Monday, issuing one walk and striking out one batter in one scoreless inning.

Miller had a three-run lead to work with in the ninth frame and protected it with relative ease, allowing just one baserunner on a two-out walk. The right-hander has converted each of his past seven save chances, registering a 23:5 K:BB and allowing only two runs over 16 innings during that span. Miller has blossomed in his first campaign as a closer, going 19-for-21 in save opportunities overall and posting a 1.89 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 79:17 K:BB across 47.2 frames.

Oller (0-1) took the loss Monday against Arizona, allowing five runs on three hits and four walks across 4.2 innings. He struck out two.

Two of Oller's three hits allowed found the bleachers, with Adrian Del Castillo launching a grand slam in the third inning after Oller walked the bases loaded, and Joc Pederson hitting a solo homer in the fifth frame. While the 29-year-old's first MLB start of the year didn't inspire much confidence, the Marlins rotation is plagued by injuries, which could result in Oller getting another chance. Oller logged a 2.88 ERA across 25.0 innings with Triple-A Jacksonville before being recalled.

Schreiber earned the save in Monday's 5-3 victory over the Angels, working around a hit to pitch a shutout inning with no strikeouts.

The 30-year-old reliever saw immediate action in his first game back from a knee injury, collecting a save for the first time since May 10, which oddly, also came against the Angels. However, Schreiber likely will only serve as a backup closer going forward, as he spelled Lucas Erceg, who collected the two previous Kansas City saves, after Erceg fired 28 pitches in Sunday's contest. Overall, Schreiber now sports a 4.03 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 30:13 K:BB across 38 innings this season.

Diaz (4-1) picked up the win Monday against Baltimore, striking out one during a perfect ninth inning.

Diaz took the mound to start the ninth inning with the game tied 3-3 and fired a perfect frame before the Mets walked it off. The 30-year-old has logged a strikeout in 13 consecutive appearances, allowing two runs on five hits during that stretch. Diaz is 14-for-19 in save opportunities, logging a 3.50 ERA in 36 innings, which stands as his worst ERA since 2019.

Fulmer (0-4) took the loss Monday at Kansas City, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out four.

After tossing 4.2 shutout innings for a no-decision in his Angels rotation debut July 14, the 30-year-old right-hander has now collected four losses in his last six outings. As a starting pitcher this season, Fulmer sports a 4.78 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 29:13 K:BB across 28 innings. He currently lines up to make his next start against the Blue Jays in Toronto this weekend.

Ortiz (5-4) took the loss Monday against Texas, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out seven.

The Pirates right-hander pitched relatively well, allowing six or fewer baserunners for his third straight outing, but could not contain Corey Seager. Ortiz yielded two homers to Seager, accounting for all four runs allowed. The 25-year-old has had great difficult in keeping the ball in the yard lately, allowing nine home runs over his last five appearances. During that time, he's pitched to a 6.26 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 19:10 K:BB across 27.1 innings. Ortiz is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Reds at home this weekend.

The Giants activated Small (oblique) from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday.

Small was shut down in March due to a right oblique strain and was subsequently placed on the IL. He's since completed a rehab assignment at Triple-A and will remain in Sacramento following Friday's transaction.
