Kerr (elbow) allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks while striking out four batters over three innings in two appearances for Double-A Columbus since being assigned to the affiliate Wednesday after being reinstated from Triple-A Gwinnett's 60-day injured list.

Kerr missed the entire 2025 season while recovering from the Tommy John surgery he underwent the previous summer, then opened the season on Gwinnett's injured list after experiencing a setback following his lone relief appearance in the Grapefruit League. The 31-year-old southpaw was cleared to begin a rehab assignment June 14 and made four appearances in the lower levels of the minors before being activated from the IL. After the pair of outings at Double-A, Kerr was promoted to Triple-A on Tuesday.

The Nationals recalled Dion from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

Dion was part of a collection of players acquired from the Guardians in Monday's Foster Griffin trade, and he will take Griffin's vacated roster spot. The lefty reliever holds a 4.58 ERA but a promising 25:3 K:BB over 19.2 innings across 12 appearances at the major-league level.

Winn earned a hold in Monday's 5-1 win over the Rangers, allowing one hit while striking out one in two-thirds of a scoreless inning.

Winn surrendered a leadoff double in the seventh inning and threw six of his 10 pitches for strikes before being pulled. He's logged four straight scoreless outings, giving up three hits and one walk while striking out four batters and hitting one across four innings during that span. The right-hander owns a 3.03 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 31:14 K:BB over 38.2 innings this season.

Beeter gave up two runs on one hit and one walk while recording only one out in Monday's loss to the Phillies.

The Nationals' early lead had already slipped away in the seventh inning, but Beeter got called in for the eighth to keep the game close and instead served up a two-run homer to Bryce Harper. Beeter has been taken deep four times in his last seven appearances, stumbling to a 9.53 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 3:3 K:BB in 5.2 innings, but he has still converted four of his five save chances during that span. Washington's busy trade deadline brought a flood of relief arms into the organization, and the most immediate threat to Beeter's closer job could come from Yovanny Cruz, who boasts a fastball that has averaged 100.0 mph and a slider with a 42.9 percent whiff rate during his brief time in the majors this season.

The Reds recalled Petty from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

Petty will fill one of the vacant roster spots created at the trade deadline. The right-hander has collected a 4.50 ERA and 14:8 K:BB over 30 frames with the Reds this season and is capable of providing length out of the bullpen.

The Mets recalled Yan from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

Yan -- who began his professional career back in 2014 -- has earned his first-ever promotion to the big leagues. The lefty reliever has logged a 3.24 ERA and 77:28 K:BB over 41.2 innings between Double-A Binghamton and Syracuse this season.

The Pirates acquired Bachar from the Marlins on Monday in exchange for Brandan Bidois, Hyun Seung Lee and Brian Sanchez.

Bachar has logged a 3.84 ERA and 61:21 K:BB over 58.2 frames out of the Marlins' bullpen this season. The 31-year-old reliever will offer the Pirates the ability to cover multiple innings, and he is under team control through 2030.

The Marlins activated Ekness (calf) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Ekness has been shelved since mid-May with a right calf strain, but he looked ready to roll in six rehab appearances, allowing just one run with a 12:0 K:BB in 8.1 innings. The 24-year-old was thrown right into high-leverage situations with the Marlins back in May, and he should return to a setup role.

The Marlins selected Ralston's contract on Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A Jacksonville, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Ralston earned a spot on the 40-man roster after posting a 1.31 ERA and 70:26 K:BB over 55 frames. The 28-year-old will remain in Jacksonville for now, but he could get an opportunity with the big club before the end of the season.

The Mets activated Nunez (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

The Mets traded away most of their bullpen at the deadline aside from closer Devin Williams, so Nunez could be thrust into a high-leverage role right away. The 30-year-old right-hander underwent Tommy John surgery in July 2025 and has looked good on his rehab assignment, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 9:5 K:BB in nine innings for Triple-A Syracuse. In his most recent appearance Saturday, he appeared to be comfortably sitting around 96 mph with his fastball.
