The Reds claimed Marinaccio off waivers from the Pirates on Thursday.
Marinaccio has logged a 4.99 ERA and 42:20 K:BB over 52.1 innings across 37 appearances between the Padres and Pirates this season. The 31-year-old does not have minor-league options remaining, so he will report directly to the Reds and join their relief corps.
