Raisel Iglesias RP | ATL
Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Needs eight pitches for eighth save
Iglesias collected the save against the Cubs on Wednesday, issuing one walk in a hitless and scoreless ninth inning.
Iglesias came out of the bullpen for a second consecutive night, tasked with protecting Atlanta's 4-1 lead. His leadoff walk to Michael Busch was negated by Michael Conforto's groundball double play, and the Atlanta closer needed just one more pitch to get Pete Crow-Armstrong to pop out, securing Atlanta's 30th win of the season. Iglesias has converted all eight of his save opportunities this season and has given up just one hit and one walk over four outings since coming back from shoulder inflammation.

Joe Jimenez RP | ATL
Braves' Joe Jimenez: Undergoes another knee surgery
Atlanta manager Walt Weiss revealed Wednesday that Jimenez underwent another surgery on his left knee 3-to-4 weeks ago, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.
Jimenez has now had three surgeries on the knee since November 2024. Weiss noted Wednesday that Jimenez feels better after this recent procedure than he has previously about pitching again, though the right-hander is without a timeline for a return. Jimenez is already on the 60-day injured list and will be a free agent after this season.

Pete Fairbanks RP | MIA
Marlins' Pete Fairbanks: Returns from stint on IL
The Marlins reinstated Fairbanks (hand) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Fairbanks wound up missing the minimum amount of time after the Marlins placed him on the IL on April 28 due to nerve irritation in his right hand. Though a similar issue caused him to miss about three weeks while he was a member of the Rays in 2024, Fairbanks was cleared to throw a bullpen session about a week after landing on the shelf and checked out fine after facing hitters in live batting practice over the weekend. The right-hander is expected to immediately step back in as the Marlins' preferred option at closer after he converted five of his six chances prior to landing on the IL.

Caleb Kilian RP | SF
Giants' Caleb Kilian: Earns four-out save
Kilian struck out one over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Dodgers.
Kilian was left a bit of a mess from Sam Hentges in the eighth inning, but he got Andy Pages to line out to end the threat. Kilian then retired the side in order in the ninth to pick up the second save of his career. He's regressed a bit after a dominant April, allowing three runs (two earned) with a 3:5 K:BB across 5.1 innings in May. Kilian is at a 1.40 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 19:12 K:BB with two saves and two holds over 19.1 innings this season. He's the current favorite for saves in the Giants' bullpen, though he may end up sharing the closing duties once Erik Miller (back) returns. That said, Kilian's ratios, aside from a high walk rate, are enticing enough to be of value to fantasy managers chasing saves.

Riley O'Brien RP | STL
Cardinals' Riley O'Brien: Bounces back with save
O'Brien walked one and struck out none in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Athletics.
O'Brien blew a save Sunday versus the Padres, but he bounced back in this outing. The closer has been a little shaky lately, as all three of his blown saves on the year have come in his last nine outings, though he's picked up a save in each of his other six appearances in that span. O'Brien has maintained a 2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB while converting 12 of 15 save chances through 20 innings this season, closing out half of the Cardinals' 24 wins. If he can limit mistakes, O'Brien should continue to see plenty of closing opportunities.

Andre Pallante SP | STL
Cardinals' Andre Pallante: Picks up fourth win
Pallante (4-3) allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Tuesday.
Pallante has alternated wins and losses over his last six outings. He was able to get by with less than his best work Tuesday, as he threw 51 of 85 pitches for strikes before turning things over to the bullpen. This was the first time since April 6 that he didn't allow a home run. Pallante is at a 4.46 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 33:19 K:BB through 42.1 innings over eight starts this season. He is projected for a home start versus the Royals his next time out.

Abner Uribe RP | MIL
Brewers' Abner Uribe: Secures save Tuesday
Uribe earned a save against the Padres on Tuesday, walking one batter and striking out one in a hitless and scoreless inning.
Uribe had a two-run lead to work with when he entered in the ninth inning. The right-hander issued a one-out walk but otherwise didn't run into any trouble. Uribe picked up his second save in May and is now tied with Trevor Megill for the team lead with four saves on the season. Megill handled the eighth inning Tuesday and hasn't recorded a save since April 17, so Uribe seems to have the edge in terms of the ninth-inning role.

Jhoan Duran RP | PHI
Phillies' Jhoan Duran: First save since return from IL
Duran picked up the save in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Red Sox, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.
It was Duran's first save since being activated from the injured list last week after he missed nearly a month with an oblique issue. It wasn't an easy save Tuesday, as Duran needed 21 pitches to record three outs. He touched 100 mph with his fastball and has now allowed just one run on three hits and four walks with eight strikeouts across four innings since returning from injury. On the year, Duran owns a 1.69 ERA and 16:4 K:BB over 10.2 innings.

Gregory Soto RP | PIT
Pirates' Gregory Soto: Picks up fourth save
Soto earned the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Rockies, allowing one run on two hits in the ninth inning.
After Paul Skenes breezed through eight shutout innings, allowing just two hits with 10 strikeouts, Soto came on and recorded two quick outs. He then surrendered back-to-back doubles before getting TJ Rumfield to ground out to preserve Skenes' win and earn Soto his fourth save. It was Soto's third save in his last four outings, as it appears he's again passed Dennis Santana in the pecking order for saves in Pittsburgh. Soto owns a 1.69 ERA and 26:7 K:BB across 21.1 innings this season.

Raisel Iglesias RP | ATL
Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Grabs seventh save Tuesday
Iglesias earned the save Tuesday against the Cubs, striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.
Iglesias entered the ninth inning with a three-run lead and made quick work of Chicago's lineup, striking out Ian Happ before retiring the next two hitters to lock down his seventh save in as many opportunities. The veteran right-hander has been dominant to begin the season, holding opponents scoreless across 11.2 innings while piling up 15 strikeouts against just one walk.
