Pivetta (forearm) struck out seven and allowed two hits and one walk over 4.1 scoreless innings in a rehab start with Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

Pivetta took a step up in competition Sunday after he made the first two starts of his rehab assignment with Single-A Elsinore. The right-hander had no trouble against the Triple-A competition, tossing 44 of 64 total pitches for strikes over his scoreless outing while sitting around 93 mph with his fastball for most of the game. Pivetta -- who has been on the shelf since April 14 while recovering from a right flexor strain -- will presumably need one more rehab start before rejoining the San Diego rotation.

Montgomery pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals.

Montgomery retired the side on 11 pitches (seven strikes) to earn his seventh save overall and fifth in August. He ends the month riding a 13.1-inning scoreless streak dating back to July 27, and he looks to have a decent amount of security in the closer role for now. Montgomery is at a 3.07 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 89:22 K:BB through 55.2 innings this season.

Cosgrove was charged with a blown save in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Marlins. He allowed three runs on a hit and a walk across two-thirds of an inning.

After Max Kranick loaded the bases with one out in the ninth, the Nationals turned to Cosgrove, who promptly poured gasoline on the fire -- the southpaw hit the first batter he faced, forcing in a run to cut Washington's lead to 2-1, before ultimately giving up a two-run homer to Otto Lopez to cap a six-run frame. After allowing just three runs in his first 10.2 innings with the Nats this year, Cosgrove's struggled to an ugly 17.47 ERA across 5.2 innings in his last seven appearances.

The Giants placed Hentges on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a left forearm strain.

Hentges presumably sustained the injury during or coming out of his most recent appearance Tuesday, when he tossed a scoreless inning of relief against the Reds. Reds. The Giants will likely send Hentges in for an MRI to determine the severity of his forearm strain, but given the nature of the injury, the southpaw could be at risk of missing the rest of the season. He holds a 3.27 ERA and 1.61 WHIP over 33 innings on the campaign.

Foley picked up a hold in a 7-2 win over the Diamondbacks in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out one across two-thirds of an inning.

Foley entered in the seventh inning, surrendering three singles and a run across the first four batters he faced. The right-hander threw eight of his 14 pitches for strikes before being pulled. The 30-year-old owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB across 14 innings in 14 outings on the year. He earned his first hold of the season Saturday.

Megill threw a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rangers. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.

Megill was called on to close out a two-run lead in the ninth inning and did so on just seven pitches. The 32-year-old has now gone 13 straight appearances without allowing an earned run, and he's converted 17 consecutive saves dating back to June 16. For the year, he's 25-for-27 in save chances with a 2.24 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 57:14 K:BB across 52.1 innings.

Mlodzinski (7-6) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one unearned run on one hit over 3.1 innings of relief in a 6-2 victory over the Cardinals. He struck out two without walking a batter.

Lake Bachar got the start for the Pirates and lasted 2.1 innings before turning things over to Evan Sisk, who loaded the bases while recording just one out before getting the hook. Mlodzinski was brought in to shut down the threat and did it on just one pitch, getting Jordan Walker to fly out, and the right-hander was the pitcher of record when Pittsburgh took the lead for good in the fourth inning. It was Mlodzinski's first win since July 11, and over 10 appearances and 28.1 innings since the All-Star break he's stumbled to a 6.35 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB.

Fuentes allowed one hit and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Saturday against the Rockies. He struck out two.

Closer Raisel Iglesias was presumably unavailable after notching the save in Friday's win over Colorado, opening the door for Fuentes to tally his third save of the year (nine chances). Although Fuentes doesn't see consistent ninth-inning work, the 21-year-old right-hander has emerged as a weapon out of the Atlanta bullpen with a 2.39 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 77:19 K:BB and 15 holds in 60.1 innings.

The Giants optioned Lonsway to Triple-A Sacramento following Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.

Lonsway was promoted from the minors ahead of Saturday's doubleheader and officially made his major-league debut in Game 1, when he allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out two batters across two frames. He'll head back down to Triple-A in order to make room on the active roster for Yunior Marte, who will start in the nightcap.

Agnos didn't factor into the decision against Atlanta on Saturday, allowing no runs on two hits and one walk in 2.2 relief innings. He struck out one.

The Rockies went with a bullpen game, and Agnos opened the contest as well as Colorado could have hoped. It was the right-hander's third starting assignment of the year, and he's been effective with a 1.69 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 6:5 K:BB in 10.2 innings out of the rotation versus a 6.09 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 46:22 K:BB across 68 innings from the bullpen. He's worked at least five innings just one time this season and has yet to reach the 80-pitch marker, so Agnos may struggle for streaming appeal if he draws another start.
