Diplan, 19, has a 3.00 ERA and 16:6 K:BB through 15 innings for Low-A Wisconsin.

Diplan is a hurler to keep an eye on, as he has more than held his own since signing in 2014. He will be brought along slowly but has the repertoire to succeed as a starter, assuming his command continues to improve.

Hader, 22, has a 0.53 ERA and 27:8 K:BB through 17 innings for Double-A Biloxi.

Hader has been dominant for the Shuckers, fanning at least seven batters in each of the last three outings. He's not working deep into ballgames just yet, but that is likely in an effort to keep his innings down. Hader has never pitched more than 123.1 innings in a season.

Lopez, 23, has a 7.94 ERA and 12:10 K:BB through 11.1 innings for Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Arguably the top pitching prospect for the Brewers, Lopez has been battered and bruised through three starts. Opposing batters are hitting a blistering .354 against him. He has also not helped his cause with the high walk total. It's a small sample size, but this is clearly not the start to the season Lopez had hoped for.

Strop earned his fourth hold of the season despite a shaky appearance against the Brewers on Tuesday. He walked two and gave up two runs in two-thirds of an inning.

Overall, Strop has been excellent during the season's first month, as he has a 10:3 K:BB in eight innings and opponents are batting just .115 off him. He remains one of the better setup men in the National League, Tuesday night notwithstanding.

Miller (0-2) allowed five runs on five hits and four walks over five innings in a loss Tuesday against St. Louis. He struck out six.

Miller had it going until it all fell apart in the fifth inning, which included a pair of walks (one intentional) and both extra-base hits Miller allowed on the night, a double and a home run. Miller has yet to put a quality start together this year, and Tuesday's outing bumped his ERA up to 8.69.

Gomez picked up his fifth save by limiting the Nationals to just one hit with one strikeout in the ninth inning of Tuesday's 4-3 win.

Gomez is off to a fantastic start, with a 2-0 record and five saves in five opportunities. If Philadelphia's .500 start is indicative of future performance, their closer could be in for a surprisingly productive campaign.

Nelson (3-2) allowed three runs (one earned) on two hits and four walks in a loss Tuesday against the Cubs. He struck out six.

An Aaron Hill error set up the Cubs' two-run sixth inning, which cost Nelson both a chance at a win and at a quality start. Nelson was wild, with just 61 strikes in 109 pitches, but he induced 10 swinging strikes and recorded seven ground outs against three fly outs. The Cubs are one of the most disciplined teams in the league, and Nelson's safe approach could have worked out Tuesday if his defense had backed him up.

Belisle left Tuesday's game with a calf strain, MASN's Mark Zuckerman reports.

The team is still trying to deduce the severity of the injury, after Belisle left Tuesday's game after recording just one out on three pitches while allowing zero baserunners in the eighth inning. Considering Belisle hasn't allowed a run in six straight appearances, his absence will be noticed by a thin Nationals bullpen.

Iglesias didn't get his fastball over 90 mph Monday until the fifth inning, his last inning of work against the Mets, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Overall his average fastball velocity is down from last year, from 91.7 mph to 90.4.

Iglesias said Monday that his velocity was down because he was trying to hit spots rather than due to any sort of fatigue. Manager Bryan Price also seemed unconcerned about the velocity change: "I haven't thought about injury at all with him," Price said. "I think the warmer weather will provide him with a little bit better velocity as well." That said, Iglesias was shut down early last season and began spring training late while recovering from shoulder fatigue, so it's possible that's an issue despite the denials from both Iglesias and Price.

Pomeranz (2-2) allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits while walking three and striking out six over just 4.1 innings in Monday's loss at San Francisco.

Pomeranz recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts in 6.2 shutout innings against the Pirates in his last outing, but came crashing down to earth as he needed 101 pitches to get 13 outs in this one. He does still own a sparkling 12.68 K/9 through 22.0 innings with the Padres, but the southpaw will continue struggling to pitch deep into games unless he reduces his walks after issuing three in each of his first four starts. Pomeranz will be on the road for the fourth time in five appearances when he next takes the mound Sunday against the Dodgers.
