Ortiz was scratched from his start with Double-A Biloxi due to a fever, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Ortiz had been red hot as of late, so it's a shame to see him have to miss a start now. However, it doesn't appear to be something that should keep him out very long, so he should just be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Edgin was designated for assignment by the Mets on Sunday.

The Mets needed to make room on the 40-man roster for recent acquisition A.J. Ramos and ultimately decided to designate Edgin for assignment. It was a bit of a surprising move, as Edgin held a respectable 3.65 ERA over 37 innings of relief this season. He'll more than likely be claimed by another big-league club.

Leiter was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Leiter was optioned to Triple-A on July 17 but will make his way back to the majors after Pedro Beato was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday with a hamstring strain. Leiter posted a 4.25 ERA over 36 innings (including three starts) with the Phillies earlier this season. He'll work out of the bullpen for the time being.

Beato was called to the majors Saturday and exited his first appearance with the hamstring injury. Mark Leiter was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to fill Beato's void in the bullpen. The injured reliever is eligible to return to action as soon as August 9, though he may require more time than that to heal.

Wang had his contract selected by the Brewers on Sunday.

Wang was selected by the Brewers in the 2014 Rule 5 draft and trudged his way through a disastrous 10.90 ERA over 17.1 low-leverage innings in his first season with Milwaukee. The 25-year-old has spent the 2017 campaign in the tough pitching environment of Colorado Springs but has performed admirably, currently holding a 2.09 ERA over 47.1 innings. He'll provide another lefty arm in the Brewers bullpen moving forward.

Yates fired a clean ninth inning while striking out two Saturday, picking up his first save in a 4-2 win over Pittsburgh.

Regular closer Brad Hand was unavailable after pitching in three consecutive games, so manager Andy Green turned to Yates to close out the Friars' fourth straight win. The 30-year-old continues to excel in San Diego, posting a 2.23 ERA and 0.99 WHIP while maintaining an elite strikeout rate (13.6 K/9). Yates' usage in the ninth is foreshadowing his potential role in the likely event that Hand is dealt prior to Monday's trade deadline, though Carter Capps or Phil Maton could take Hand's place instead. Fantasy players could pick up Yates if they're desperate for saves, but this situation remains in flux.

Lamet (5-4) allowed two runs on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over six innings in a win Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Lamet fired his first quality start since he threw seven shutout innings June 29 against Atlanta. He continues to rack up the strikeouts like mad, now up to 75 in just 57.2 innings, an 11.7 K/9 that ranks sixth among all starters with at least 50 innings. He has been wild at times, but Lamet is showing a nastiness that is going to force opponents to remember his name.

Adleman (5-9) allowed six runs on six hits and four walks while striking out two batters through just 4.1 innings during Saturday's loss to Miami.

Adleman entered the outing with a 6.69 ERA over his past seven outings, and Saturday's showing continued the underwhelming stretch. He's pitched his way off the fantasy grid in the majority of settings and now owns a crippling 5.42 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. Adleman's 8.1 K/9 does offer a sliver of hope in cavernous formats or as a flier candidate in the right matchup. He projects to make his next start at home against the Cardinals.

Beato was forced to leave Saturday's game due to a leg injury, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Beato was called up earlier Saturday and entered as the seventh-inning reliever for the Phillies, a role he likely would have settled into barring injury. The severity of the injury is currently unclear, so consider him day-to-day for now.

Estevez, who was optioned Saturday, will remain with the club as the 26th man for Sunday's doubleheader, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.

Estevez hasn't pitched in four days, so it seems almost certain that he'll get a shot at some point Sunday against the Nationals. That said, look for Estevez to wind up back in Triple-A by Monday.
