Rodney struck out a pair and worked around a walk for his 26th save Tuesday against the Dodgers.

That's now eight straight scoreless outings for Rodney since he got blown up for four runs by these same Dodgers back on July 6; in that span, he's struck out 14 batters while allowing just a single hit and three walks over 7.1 innings. Old though he may be at 40, Rodney is still throwing mid-90s heat, which has him well on his way to posting a five-year low in WHIP (currently 1.20; he hasn't been below 1.30 in the past four seasons), while his current 11.3 K/9 is a career high.

Moore may have his next start skipped in order to fine tune his pitches, Andrew Baggarly of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Moore is currently penciled in as the starter for Sunday's game against the Nationals, though manager Bruce Bochy is mulling over the idea of skipping his start in order to give the veteran lefty some time to work on his throwing mechanics. The 28-year-old currently owns a 5.88 ERA and has given up nine earned runs over his past two starts, so he would probably benefit from the additional time off.

Banda was confirmed as the starting pitcher for Thursday's game against the Dodgers, Jack Magruder of FanRagSports.com reports.

With Robbie Ray (concussion) unable to take his next turn in the rotation, Banda will get another start in his place. The 23-year-old certainly earned another turn in the rotation after he impressed during his first outing, striking out seven Giants through six innings of one-run ball and earning the win.

Stewart was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

He takes the place of Luis Avilan, who was placed on the paternity list as a corresponding move. While Stewart is an option to start when a need arises, he will likely head to the bullpen and serve as a multi-inning reliever, while staying on something resembling a starter's schedule. Stewart did not allow a run while striking out 10 in 13 innings as a reliever earlier this year.

Hader threw a scoreless inning in Monday's loss to the Twins despite allowing a hit and issuing three walks.

Hader was not sharp Monday and now owns 17 walks in 22.1 innings out of the Brewers' bullpen this season, but even in a subpar outing he was able to keep the opponent off the scoreboard. Hader, who does have 27 strikeouts and has given up just 10 hits, will continue working in a multi-situation relief role for the time being.

The Reds are expected to activate Scott Feldman (knee) from the 10-day disabled list and have him start Saturday's game against the Brewers, meaning that Adleman will likely head back to the bullpen in the coming days, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Manager Bryan Price had previously dropped Adleman to the bullpen a week earlier amid a string of poor starts, with Asher Wojciechowski moving from a long-relief role to claim a rotation spot. However, after No. 5 starter Robert Stephenson (shoulder), who had been filling in for the injured Feldman, hit the disabled list over the weekend, Adleman was called upon to make a spot start Monday against the Padres. The right-hander did little Monday to bolster his claim for regaining a spot in the rotation, surrendering two runs on six hits and a walk while failing to escape the fifth inning.

Barraclough (shoulder) threw 35 pitches in a bullpen session Monday and is scheduled to throw batting practice Thursday, Kyle Melnick of MLB.com reports.

Assuming all goes well Thursday, the Marlins will then decide on the next step in the right-hander's rehab. Barraclough last pitched in a game July 24, so a short minor-league stint may be necessary, but once he's back in the Marlins' bullpen, he could get some opportunities to close alongside Brad Ziegler.

Moore (3-12) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven batters through six innings during Monday's loss to the Cubs.

Moore allowed at least four runs in each of his previous five outings, and he now sports a 5.88 ERA 1.59 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 for the campaign. He's not even performing well at AT&T Park anymore, having given up 31 runs through 37.2 innings over his past seven home starts. At this stage of the game, Moore is probably best viewed as a low-end option best left to the deepest of fantasy settings. He projects to face the Nationals at Washington in his next start.

Suter allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two batters through just four innings during Monday's loss to Minnesota. He didn't factor into the decision.

Even after allowing five earned runs through just 5.1 innings to the Cardinals in his previous outing, Suter entered Monday's game with a 2.93 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 7.7 K/9 through seven starts. However, Monday's short outing is cause for concern, so it's probably best to be selective with his matchups moving forward. Suter projects to make his next start against the Reds at Miller Park.

Adleman allowed two runs on six hits and two walks across 4.2 innings in a no-decision Monday against the Padres. He struck out four.

Making his first start since Robert Stephenson (shoulder) went on the disabled list, Adleman held the Padres in check. He kept the ball down, recording six groundball outs, with the only real mistake coming on a two-run homer by Jose Pirela in the fourth inning. Adleman worked up to 76 pitches, but he was removed one out shy of qualifying for a win, as the Reds held a lead they would never relinquish.
