Kinley had his contract purchased from Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Kinley was taken by the Twins in this year's Rule 5 draft, though he was returned to the Marlins after allowing nine runs across 3.1 innings (24.30 ERA) with Minnesota. The 27-year-old delivered a crisp 2.93 ERA and 56:22 K:BB across 40 innings with Triple-A New Orleans upon being returned to the Marlins, and he'll now get a chance to improve upon his big-league body of work.

Voth was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

The 26-year-old righty made his big-league debut earlier this season in a July 14 spot start but has not pitched again in the big leagues since then. Voth posted a 4.37 ERA, 3.89 FIP, 1.27 WHIP and 117:40 K:BB in 125.2 innings at Triple-A. There doesn't appear to be an obvious opening in the big-league rotation, so Voth will likely spend the bulk of September working as a long reliever.

Hernandez (finger) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Hernandez spent just 11 days on the shelf with a blister on his finger. The 23-year-old Rule 5 selection owns a pedestrian 5.28 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 41:24 K:BB across 59.2 innings with the big club this season. Hernandez should resume his long-relief down the stretch.

Garcia (ankle) was reinstated from the 10-day DL on Tuesday, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Garcia wound up missing just 11 days with an ankle injury he suffered after getting hit by a Nick Markakis line drive. The 25-year-old owns an unremarkable 5.16 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 40:24 K:BB across 61 innings with the Marlins this season. He threw just 30 pitches in his lone rehab start, so Garcia figures to work in relief for the time being.

Yates returned from the bereavement list Monday, firing a scoreless inning with a walk and two strikeouts in a 6-2 win over Arizona.

Yates wasn't afforded a save opportunity after his offense plated a pair in the eighth inning, but he performed well nonetheless. The 31-year-old will resume his role as the Friars' top closing option after posting a 2.05 ERA and 5.2 K/BB ratio over 52.2 innings.

Gsellman allowed two hits and a run but managed to record the save Monday against the Dodgers.

Gsellman entered the game in the ninth inning with a three-run lead but allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base. While he surrendered an earned run on a sacrifice fly, Gsellman managed to induce Matt Kemp to ground into a game-ending double play. He now has 10 saves on the season and has converted the team's last three saves. That makes it likely that he has emerged as the Mets primary closer to end the season and should rack up a few saves as a result.

Jansen could miss the team's weekend series against Colorado, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Jansen showed symptoms of an irregular heartbeat nearly a month ago when the Dodgers played in Colorado, so they might hold him out as a precaution. Jansen stated that his status for the weekend series is currently uncertain, per Gurnick. If Jansen is indeed unavailable, Los Angeles has plenty of options now that rosters have expanded to 40. Ryan Madson and Kenta Maeda appear to be the top two candidates for save chances if Jansen can't pitch.

Yates (personal) was reinstated from the bereavement list Monday.

Yates will rejoin the Padres after missing the team's weekend series against the Rockies. The 31-year-old owns an impressive 2.09 ERA and 71:13 K:BB through 51.2 innings this season and should immediately resume his role as San Diego's closer.

Poncedeleon will work out of the bullpen moving forward, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

With an off day Thursday, the Cardinals will move to a four-man rotation until Adam Wainwright (elbow) makes his return to the rotation next Monday against the Pirates. As a result, Poncedeleon and Luke Weaver will be shifted back to the bullpen for the final month of the season, though both will remain options to start down the stretch should an opportunity arise. The 26-year-old owns a 3.38 ERA across 10.2 innings of relief this season (five appearances).

The Giants recalled Okert from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic Bay Area reports.

With Sacramento's season coming to an end Monday, the Giants will bring Okert aboard along with fellow Triple-A hurlers Pierce Johnson and Casey Kelly to provide some bullpen depth throughout September. Okert has pitched exclusively at the Triple-A level this season, but made 44 appearances with the Giants in 2017 and posted a 5.67 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 27 innings.
