Dunning gave up one run on two hits and a walk over three innings of relief in Sunday's loss to the Yankees. He struck out two.

The veteran righty was acquired from the Rangers to provide a beleaguered Atlanta bullpen with some length, and Dunning did exactly that in his debut for the team. With only two healthy, reliable starters in the rotation in Spencer Strider and Grant Holmes, who took the loss in a quality start Sunday, Dunning figures to see plenty of action over the final months of the season. Through 13.2 big-league innings this season over six relief appearances between Texas and Atlanta, the 30-year-old has a 3.29 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB.

Miller (forearm) threw a 22-pitch bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Miller received good news after getting a second opinion on his injury. He resumed throwing last Thursday before Saturday's bullpen session. It's unclear what or when Miller's next step will be.

Beeks (back) threw a 23-pitch bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Prior to landing on the 15-day injured list with lower back inflammation, Beeks' name was mentioned in discussions about closing out games. Arizona's bullpen is beset with injuries, and it will continue to be when Beeks' minimum stay on the IL ends July 23. Any rehab assignment is expected to be a brief one.

Lazar allowed one hit and no walks with no strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Angels.

Lazar has been called upon almost strictly in low-leverage situations for most of the season -- he has zero holds and one save -- but he's been a viable bullpen arm for the Phillies. Across 21.2 innings, the 26-year-old right-hander owns a 3.32 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB. Philadelphia signed veteran right-hander David Robertson on Sunday, which could mean Lazar will soon be even more hard-pressed to find high-leverage work.

Stanek allowed a hit in a scoreless inning and picked up a save against the Reds on Sunday.

Stanek worked around a one-out single to close out the 3-2 victory for his second save of the year. His other save came against Miami on April 7. He dropped his ERA to 4.28 with a 37:18 K:BB through 33.2 frames. Edwin Diaz was charged with a blown save after entering in the eighth inning Sunday.

Uribe earned the save in Sunday's 6-5 win against the Dodgers, allowing one run on three hits and one walk in one inning with no strikeouts.

The flamethrowing right-hander held on to lock down the win despite conceding three singles in this 23-pitch performance against the vaunted Los Angeles lineup. Because Trevor Megill pitched consecutive days Friday and Saturday, Uribe was afforded the opportunity to pick up his second save of the season. This outing shows that if anything were to happen to Megill, Uribe, who has pitched to a 2.42 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 60:19 K:BB across 48.1 total innings, would be the favorite to take over the closer role in Milwaukee.

DeSclafani tallied the save in Sunday's 5-3 victory over the Cardinals, conceding one run on four hits and no walks over three innings. He struck out four.

The veteran right-hander notched his second three-inning save of the season, completing the feat this time on just 38 pitches with an impressive eight whiffs. The lone blemish on DeSclafani's performance was an RBI-double given up to Jordan Walker in the ninth. With Shelby Miller (forearm) on the injured list, the Diamondbacks closer role is wide open with Kevin Ginkel being the presumptive favorite. Given DeSclafani's solid strikeout rate (9.8 K/9) paired with a 4.66 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB across 19.1 frames, the 35-year-old could upgrade from his role in long relief and enter the closer discussion in Arizona.

Pomeranz allowed three runs on two hits and a walk while retiring only one batter in Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Red Sox.

While fellow reliever Ryan Pressly was charged with the loss after allowing a go-ahead, two-run home run to Wilyer Abreu in the seventh inning, Pomeranz struggled to keep the Cubs within striking distance when he came on in the eighth. The lefty started his season by rattling off 26 straight appearances without allowing any earned runs, but he's now allowed five earned runs across his last three innings of work. Pomeranz still has a sparkling 1.71 ERA overall, though he is showing some signs of regression lately.

Pressly (2-3) allowed two runs on a hit and a walk across an inning of relief to take the loss Sunday against the Red Sox. He struck out two.

Pressly came into the contest having logged eight straight scoreless appearances, but a two-run home run by Wilyer Abreu in the seventh inning snapped that streak. The veteran reliever still has a solid 3.62 ERA overall, and since allowing eight earned runs in a nightmare outing back on May 6, he has a sparkling 1.48 ERA. Pressly is no longer closing games in Chicago due to the emergence of Daniel Palencia, though he's at least mostly gotten back on track following a rough start to the season.

Brasier will serve as the Cubs' opening pitcher Monday versus the Royals, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Brasier will draw the sixth start of his MLB career in what will likely be a one- or two-inning appearance before he exits the game. The veteran righty has posted an impressive 1.04 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with 14 strikeouts over 17.1 innings in 18 appearances with the Cubs this season. According to Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com, the Cubs plan to recall Ben Brown from Triple-A Iowa on Monday, and he'll likely be deployed in bulk relief behind Brasier.
