Iglesias (1-1) threw 1.1 perfect innings in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Tigers to earn his first win of the season. He struck out two batters.

This was good to see after Iglesias struggled in first two appearances of 2020, both non-save situations. Iglesias got the final out of the sixth inning, and after the Reds retook the lead in the top of the seventh, Iglesias returned to the mound and breezed through the 8-9-1 spots in the order to finish out Game 1 of the first seven-inning doubleheader in MLB history.

Vesia was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday for an undisclosed reason, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

The Marlins provided no reason for the transaction, and it's unclear whether Vesia's absence is related to the team's ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. The southpaw took a loss in his MLB debut in the team's second game of the season, and the length of his stay on the injured list remains to be seen. The Marlins added pitchers James Hoyt and Brian Moran in corresponding moves.

Jansen struck out two batters and hit another in a scoreless ninth inning Sunday, earning a save in the win over Arizona.

After Jansen plunked Starling Marte to lead off the inning, he settled in to retire the next three batters in order. For the season, the 32-year-old has recorded four shutout innings with just one hit allowed.

White was optioned to the Dodgers' alternate training site Sunday.

After being called up from the taxi squad Saturday, White went unused out of the bullpen in the Dodgers' 11-2 win over the Diamondbacks. He'll lose his spot on the active roster with the Dodgers needing room for ace Clayton Kershaw (back), who was activated from the injured list ahead of his scheduled start Sunday.

Hoffman is expected to remain in the bullpen after the Rockies announced Chi Chi Gonzalez as their fifth starter Sunday, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Due to a pair of early season off days, the Rockies haven't required a fifth starter until Monday's series opener against the Giants, so manager Bud Black waited until more than a week into the campaign to formally round out his rotation. The competition between Gonzalez and Hoffman for the final starting job was said to be close in summer camp, so the former likely won't have much margin for error as he prepares for his first outing of 2020. Expect Hoffman to work in long relief unless an opening in the rotation arises.

Harvey had his contract selected by the Rockies on Sunday.

The 28-year-old missed out on the Opening Day roster, but he'll join the Rockies with Wade Davis (shoulder) landing on the injured list. Harvey was designated for assignment by Colorado in December, but he returns to the 40-man roster after posting a 5.00 ERA and 1.72 WHIP over 18 appearances last season.

Howard was recalled from the three-man taxi squad Sunday, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.

Howard was unable to secure a spot on the Opening Day roster, but he'll join the active roster after spending time on the taxi squad. The 27-year-old should fill a low-leverage role out of the bullpen for the Buccos.

Yates has noted mechanical adjustments he can make on the mound and remains confident in his ability despite a slow start to the season, Annie Heilbrunn of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Yates was one of MLB's most dominant closers last season, compiling 41 saves in 44 chances while registering a minuscule 1.19 ERA and 0.89 WHIP. Things have gone much differently for the right-hander thus far in 2020, as he has been pulled mid-inning twice and given up four earned runs over 2.1 innings. Manager Jayce Tingler indicated that Yates will remain the closer after he nearly blew the save Friday night before he was bailed out by Drew Pomeranz, who got the final out to earn his second save of the campaign. It makes sense for fantasy managers to hold onto Yates as long as he continues to get save opportunities, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a look at Pomeranz as well since he appears next in line for closer duties if Yates is ultimately removed from the role.

Though the Reds' bullpen has really struggled, Sims has started well, throwing 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out five.

Sims hasn't been put into too many high-leverage situations yet, though he did quell a rally by the Cubs on Wednesday after Brooks Raley faced five batters without retiring a batter. With Robert Stephenson injured, Sims has moved one step up the ladder in the Reds bullpen.

Manager David Ross was noncommittal Saturday when asked whether Kimbrel would remain the Cubs' closer going forward, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Kimbrel entered Friday's game against the Pirates in the ninth inning during a non-save situation, but he allowed back-to-back home runs to Josh Bell and Colin Moran. The Cubs held on to win 6-3, but the right-hander has now had two rough outings to begin the season after struggling last season. Ross said he would have conversations with Kimbrel to determine his role going forward but declined to say whether he'd handle the ninth-inning duties in the near future. Jeremy Jeffress and Rowan Wick would be the most likely replacements if the 32-year-old loses his job as the closer.
