The Dodgers are expecting to get an update on the status of Kelly's appeal of his eight-game suspension by the end of the week, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

MLB handed Kelly an eight-game suspension July 29 for his role in a dustup with Houston the previous day, but Kelly subsequently appealed the decision and has been available out of the Dodgers' bullpen while the league determines his fate. In three appearances since the incident, the right-hander has thrown 2.1 scoreless innings, though he has allowed three hits and two walks without a strikeout in that span.

Sewald allowed two hits and a walk in 1.2 scoreless innings during Tuesday's loss to the Nationals.

The right-hander entered the game in the fourth inning after a poor performance from Steven Matz, but Sewald ran into trouble of his own in the fifth, loading the bases with two outs before getting bailed out by Jeurys Familia. Sewald has a 5.06 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 2:2 K:BB through 5.1 innings, and his low-leverage role offers little fantasy appeal.

Almonte picked up the save Tuesday against the Giants, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings and allowing one hit. He did not walk or strike out any batters.

Almonte was called upon to relieve ace German Marquez with the tying run at the plate and one out in the eighth inning. He induced a double play to get out of the jam, and Colorado chose to leave him on the mound in the ninth to get three more outs and notch the save. The Rockies' closer situation is hazy with Wade Davis (shoulder) placed on the injured list Sunday, but Almonte doesn't figure to be in line for many more save opportunities. Jairo Diaz sat out Tuesday after registering saves in consecutive opportunities the previous two days, and he figures to be the primary closing option while Davis is out.

Lamet allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and a pair of walks, striking out two over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Lamet carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning, but it all unraveled there. The right-hander allowed back-to-back singles to Cody Bellinger and Corey Seager, the latter causing two runs to score when center fielder Trent Grisham committed an error. Tough ending aside, Lamet had another strong outing. He's posted a 1.72 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 17 strikeouts in 15.2 innings this season. His next turn on the mound is expected to come on the road Monday as a rematch versus the Dodgers.

Jansen pitched a perfect ninth inning with a strikeout to earn the save in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Padres.

Jansen retired Tommy Pham, Jake Cronenworth and Abraham Almonte in order in the ninth to earn his third save of the season. He's yet to give up a run in 2020, allowing just one hit and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings this season. The 32-year-old has a firm grasp on the Dodgers' closer gig.

Hudson allowed one walk and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Tuesday against the Mets.

Hudson was called upon to protect a 5-3 lead, and successfully did so on 14 pitches to record his second save of the season. The only baserunner he allowed came on a walk with two outs, and Hudson retired the next batter he faced to end the contest. Notably, Hudson has claimed both saves for the Nationals this season, and Sean Doolittle did not even appear in a setup role in the contest.

Kimbrel allowed two earned runs on two hits while retiring just a single batter in a 5-4 win over the Royals Tuesday.

Leading 5-2, the Cubs decided to let Kimbrel get another shot at the ninth inning, but after allowing a single and a double sandwiched around a strikeout, the veteran got the hook. Kyle Ryan allowed both inherited runners to score but hung on for the save. Kimbrel now has a 32.40 ERA this season, and at this point, it's hard to see him getting many more save opportunities in the near future. Rowan Wick and Jeremy Jeffress figure to benefit.

Antone will start Wednesday's game against the Indians, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The Reds needed to adjust their rotation coming off the postponement and subsequent doubleheader over the weekend in Detroit, so Antone will step up for the spot start in Cleveland. The 26-year-old made his major-league debut July 27 against the Cubs and had a strong showing, allowing one run on one hit and a walk while striking out five over 4.1 innings.

Yamamoto was recalled by the Marlins on Tuesday.

The move was anticipated as Yamamoto will fill a role on the pitching staff amid the Marlins' COVID-19 outbreak. With several starters recovering from the coronavirus, the right-hander should claim a role in the rotation. However, manager Don Mattingly has emphasized that the pitching staff will have to be flexible with their roles in the coming days. Yamamoto made 15 starts and recorded a 4.46 ERA and 1.14 ERA over 78.2 innings last season.

Garcia (undisclosed) has been placed on the 10-day injured list, Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal reports.

Garcia was among the 13 Marlins placed on the injured list ahead of the team's return to play after a COVID-19 outbreak. However, a specific reason for Garcia's placement on the injured list wasn't announced.
