Morejon will start Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

The Friars are expected to employ a bullpen day in Wednesday's series finale, and Morejon will be the first reliever on the mound. The 21-year-old has a 2.53 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB through 10.2 innings this season.

Jansen allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning for the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Padres.

Jansen made things interesting, loading the bases with two singles and a walk. He then retired Wil Myers and Jake Cronenworth on strikeouts to escape the jam. Jansen has converted 11 of 13 save chances this year, with a 3.54 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 28 strikeouts over 20.1 innings. He's pitched on three of the last four days, so he may not be used if a save situation arises in Wednesday's series finale.

Suter will start Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The 31-year-old made a spot start in place of Brett Anderson (hip) over the weekend and delivered three scoreless innings with six strikeouts, and he'll receive the starting nod again during Milwaukee's second twin bill in three days. Suter threw 46 pitches during that outing and is likely to have a similar workload Wednesday. The quick-working southpaw has a 3.52 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 30:2 K:BB through 23 innings this season.

Chafin (finger) will throw a simulated game Wednesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Chafin was traded from the Diamondbacks to the Cubs at the deadline despite the fact that he was out with a sprained left index finger. He's missed nearly a month with the issue, but he appears to have a chance to join his new team's bullpen for the final few games of the year.

Cleavinger was recalled by the Phillies on Tuesday.

Cleavinger earned his first career callup last Tuesday but spent just a single day on the roster and did not get into a game. The lefty struck out 36.4 percent of opposing batters in 51.2 innings for Double-A Reading last season while posting a 3.66 ERA, though he's yet to pitch above that level.

Cabrera (4-1) was credited with the victory in a win over the Brewers in the second game of a doubleheader Monday, firing a scoreless eighth inning during which he issued a walk and struck out the side.

Cabrera was on the hill for the third straight day, although his Saturday appearance had been cut short due to issues with his cracked fingernail. The left-hander had then allowed an earned run over 1.1 innings Sunday against the Reds before bouncing back with Monday's strong effort. Cabrera has notched half of his four wins on the season during September, a month in which he's already compiled 12 strikeouts across 7.2 innings.

Rainey landed on the 10-day injured list with a right flexor strain Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The move was made retroactive to Saturday, so Rainey could theoretically rejoin the team Monday for the final week of the season, though that would only be possible if it's a mild strain. His loss will be a blow to the struggling Nationals, as he owns a 2.66 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 42.7 percent strikeout rate in 20.1 innings this season. Aaron Barrett was recalled in a corresponding move.

De Leon was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right groin strain, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

He came into Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader and walked two batters without recording an out before exiting with the injury. Given that there are less than two weeks remaining in the season, this injury likely means the end of De Leon's 2020 campaign.

The Cardinals optioned Ponce de Leon to their alternate training site Tuesday.

Ponce de Leon was up with the Cardinals for just one day, serving as the 29th man in the team's doubleheader with the Brewers. He started in the second half of the twin bill and turned in his best outing of the season, limiting Milwaukee to two runs over six innings while striking out nine to take a no-decision in the Cardinals' 3-2 win. St. Louis will have a need for an extra rotation member again for a Sept. 25 doubleheader versus the Brewers, so Ponce de Leon could be called up again at that time to make another start.

The Brewers optioned Topa to their alternate training site Tuesday.

He'll head back to the organization's training site in Appleton after serving as the 29th man for Monday's doubleheader with the Cardinals. Topa pitched in relief in the second game of the twin bill, taking his first career big-league loss after giving up a go-ahead unearned run in the top of the ninth inning.
