Nationals' Brad Hand: Earns 15th save of 2021
Hand struck out one in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Mets on Sunday.
Hand capped off a dominant week Sunday, as he's now earned four saves and a win across his last five appearances dating back to Monday. The southpaw tossed five scoreless innings during that time, and he's now recorded a 2.73 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 29.2 innings this year.

Craig Kimbrel RP | TB
Cubs' Craig Kimbrel: Converts 20th save
Kimbrel pitched a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts to earn the save in Sunday's 2-0 win over Miami.
Kimbrel needed only 12 pitches to lock down his 20th save of the season. The right-hander has thrown 10.1 consecutive scoreless innings over his last 11 appearances, all of which have ended in a save. For the year, he's 20-for-22 in save chances with a 0.61 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 49:9 K:BB in 29.1 innings.

Daniel Hudson RP | LAD
Nationals' Daniel Hudson: Expected to throw soon
The Nationals plan to have Hudson (elbow) resume a throwing program during their road trip this week, Maria Torres of The Athletic reports.
The Nationals don't view Hudson's inflamed right elbow as a long-term concern, so he'll travel with the team and conduct his rehab away from Washington with the hope of speeding up his return to the active roster. He could require a brief minor-league rehab assignment before being activated from the 10-day injured list.

Cory Abbott RP | SEA
Cubs' Cory Abbott: Sent to minors
The Cubs optioned Abbott to Triple-A Iowa on Sunday.
Abbott was sent back to the minors to make room on the active roster for Kyle Ryan, who was called up from Iowa in a corresponding move. The 25-year-old right-hander saw sparse action out of the Chicago bullpen upon being promoted June 5, appearing in four games while posting a 4.32 ERA in 8.1 innings. The Cubs will likely transition him back into a starting role once he rejoins Iowa.

Bryse Wilson RP | MIL
Braves' Bryse Wilson: Sent back down
Wilson was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett following Sunday's start against the Cardinals.
Wilson was charged with the loss in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader, as he gave up five runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out four in four innings. He'll head back to the minors ahead of Sunday's nightcap but could be an option to rejoin the major-league club at some point next week.

Jacob Webb RP | CHC
Braves' Jacob Webb: Called up as 27th man
Webb was recalled by Atlanta as the 27th man for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Webb has made 17 relief appearances with the big-league club this year and has posted a 5.29 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 17 innings during that time. The right-hander will be an option out of the bullpen in Sunday's nightcap but could return to the minors after the twin bill.

Nick Ramirez RP | LAD
Padres' Nick Ramirez: Back with big club
The Padres recalled Ramirez from Triple-A El Paso ahead of Sunday's game against the Reds, MLB.com reports.
Ramirez will give the Padres some extra coverage out of the bullpen after the team used five relievers to cover nine innings in Saturday's 7-5 win. The 31-year-old southpaw previously made seven relief appearances for San Diego, giving up six earned runs on 12 hits and four walks over 10.2 innings.
-
Mason Thompson RP | TEX
Padres' Mason Thompson: Earns big-league call-up
The Padres recalled Thompson from Triple-A El Paso ahead of Sunday's game against the Reds, MLB.com reports.
San Diego brought up Thompson and Nick Ramirez from Triple-A ahead of the series finale to provide some fresh arms after the team opted for a bullpen day in Saturday's 7-5 win. Thompson supplied a 5.89 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 18.1 innings at El Paso, so he likely won't be counted on for high-leverage work in his first stint in the big leagues.

Mitch White RP | MIL
Dodgers' Mitch White: Moves back to minors
The Dodgers optioned White to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Los Angeles will swap White out of its bullpen for a fresh arm in Edwin Uceta, who was recalled from Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. White hasn't been particularly effective over his 14.1 innings with the Dodgers this season, giving up 14 runs (six earned) on 15 hits and eight walks.
