Perez was recalled by the Reds on Saturday.

Perez threw 22 innings of relief for the Reds earlier in the season but didn't look particularly good, struggling to a 6.95 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 22:20 K:BB. He'll replace Wade Miley, who landed on the injured list with a neck strain, though the Reds will likely call someone else up when it gets to Miley's turn in the rotation, as Perez has exclusively pitched out of the bullpen this season.

Moore (back) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The move confirms that the back strain that sent Moore to the injured list Thursday will in fact be season-ending. His return to MLB after a 2020 season spent in Japan wound up being a disappointing one, as he struggled to a 6.29 ERA and 1.59 WHIP across 13 starts and 11 relief appearances. The transaction clears space on the 40-man roster for the Phillies to select Kyle Dohy's contract.

Bednar (oblique) threw a bullpen session Friday and is progressing well, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

There are nine games left in the regular season, and manager Derek Shelton said the team should have some clarity on when Bednar will be available within the next few days, so it's not a guarantee he will make it back before the end of the season, despite the fact he is trending in the right direction. Chris Stratton has been working as the closer, but no Pirate has recorded a save within the past week.

Lee was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.

He got his first big-league call-up Wednesday but never made it into a game. Edgar Santana was activated from the paternity list in a corresponding move.

Brogdon (groin) joined Triple-A Lehigh Valley for a rehab assignment Saturday and is expected to return from the injured list Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Brogdon has already missed the required 10 days while recovering from a strained groin, but he needs at least a few more days before he's cleared to return to the active roster. While he only has one save this season, he's been one of the Phillies' best relievers thus far in the second half, posting a 2.61 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 17 appearances.

Coonrod is dealing with a thumb injury but will avoid the injured list for now, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Coonrad has allowed runs in three of his last five appearances and hasn't pitched since Wednesday, though it's not clear if either of those facts is related to his thumb issue. With less than 10 days remaining in regular season, any trip to the injured list would bring his campaign to an end.

Mears allowed one hit in two-thirds of an inning in Friday's 8-6 loss to Philadelphia. He struck out one batter.

A wild pitch contributed to his third blown save with an inherited runner scoring, but Mears continues to show small signs of improvement -- he hasn't been scored on in 10 of his last 12 appearances. Manager Derek Shelton is using the 24-year-old and his 95.6 mph fastball in high-leverage situations and he could pick up an additional hold or two over the season's final week as he builds a case for 2022.

Hudson (1-0) allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three over 3.2 innings as he picked up the win over the Cubs on Friday.

Hudson made his first appearance this season after spending time recovering from the Tommy John surgery he had last September. He piggybacked Jack Flaherty in the twin bill of Friday's doubleheader and likely entered earlier than he anticipated after Flaherty was only able to record a single out before getting pulled. Regardless, Hudson looked solid after not pitching in a live game for over a year. The 26-year-old allowed a run in the third and fifth innings but otherwise held the Cubs in check, throwing 61 pitches and 41 for strikes. It's unclear what the Cardinals have in store for him moving forward, but he'll likely continue to follow Flaherty as the two figure to keep working in a tandem to close out the year.

Jansen saved Friday's 4-2 win against the Diamondbacks, striking out one in the ninth inning.

Jansen was called upon in the ninth inning to protect a two-run lead and required just eight pitches to lock down the victory. The 33-year-old has now allowed just one run across 10.1 September innings and possesses a 2.33 ERA on the season.

Knehr (1-1) took the loss in Friday's 4-0 defeat against Atlanta, allowing three runs on five hits with one strikeout in four innings.

Making his first appearance since Aug. 24, Knehr surrendered three runs in the game's first two innings, which was enough for the loss in a game where San Diego failed to score. The 24-year-old joined the big-league roster as part of doubleheader featuring a resumed game. He may not see another opportunity this season.
