Dylan Floro RP | ARI
Marlins' Dylan Floro: Cleared for rehab assignment
Floro (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Low-A Jupiter on Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Floro threw 16 pitches in a simulated game Sunday, and he'll be cleared for game action in the minors less than a week later. It's not yet clear how many rehab appearances he'll make, but the minor-league outings should be the final step in his recovery process. The right-hander was viewed as a closing candidate prior to sustaining his shoulder injury, but the Marlins could ease him into action as a setup man once he's able to rejoin the major-league club.

Jake Junis RP | TEX
Giants' Jakob Junis: Recalled by San Francisco
Junis was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Since Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, Junis will be available for Friday's matchup against the Nationals. If the right-hander isn't utilized out of the bullpen Friday, he's a strong candidate to take DeSclafani's place in the rotation. Junis has made three starts for Sacramento this year and has posted an 8.74 ERA and 2.07 WHIP in 11.1 innings.

Hunter Harvey RP | CHC
Nationals' Hunter Harvey: Hopes to resume throwing soon
Harvey (forearm) said Friday that he hopes to resume throwing in a few days, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Harvey was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday due to a pronator strain in his right arm, but he compared the issue to a cramp and said that it isn't painful. However, he said that he encountered more serious injuries when pitching through similar issues in the past, so he's been shut down as a precautionary measure. As long as Harvey is able to resume throwing soon, he'll likely have a chance to return following a brief absence.

Max Kranick RP | WAS
Pirates' Max Kranick: Rehab assignment shifts to Triple-A
Kranick (forearm) will continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Kranick began his rehab assignment at Low-A Bradenton but hasn't appeared in a game since April 12. He threw a side session in Indianapolis on Tuesday and is expected to appear in a game for the Triple-A club Friday. It seems likely that he'll remain in Indianapolis when healthy since he's out of options.

Lucas Sims RP | CHW
Reds' Lucas Sims: Activated from 10-day IL
Sims (elbow) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Sims' activation was expected Friday, and he'll be available to make his season debut after missing the start of the year with an elbow issue. The righty made four rehab appearances at Triple-A Louisville and allowed a run on two hits and a walk while striking out five in four innings. He should be part of Cincinnati's committee of late-inning relievers that also includes Tony Santillan, Art Warren and Hunter Strickland.

Packy Naughton RP | STL
Cardinals' Packy Naughton: Recalled by Cardinals
Naughton was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.
Naughton was claimed off waivers by the Cardinals in March after being designated for assignment by the Angels, and he posted a 1.80 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 10 innings during five relief appearances for Memphis early in the year. He'll now provide bullpen depth for St. Louis after Drew VerHagen (hip) was placed on the 10-day injured list.

Drew VerHagen RP | STL
Cardinals' Drew VerHagen: Placed on 10-day injured list
VerHagen was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right hip impingement Friday.
VerHagen dealt with a hip issue during camp, and the injury flared up during Thursday's game against the Marlins. While it's not yet clear when he'll return to action, the right-hander will be sidelined for at least a week and a half. Left-hander Packy Naughton was called up by St. Louis to take VerHagen's place in the bullpen.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Lands on injured list
Treinen was placed on the injured list Friday due to right shoulder discomfort, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Treinen hasn't pitched in over a week, but the transaction can only be backdated by three days, so he'll miss at least one more week. If his injury remains nothing worse than discomfort, it's possible he returns at that point, though a longer absence is certainly possible. Daniel Hudson has already picked up one save this season when Craig Kimbrel was unavailable and will remain Kimbrel's top deputy until Treinen returns.

Garrett Cleavinger RP | TB
Dodgers' Garrett Cleavinger: Recalled by Dodgers
Cleavinger was recalled by the Dodgers on Friday.
Cleavinger was sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, but he'll rejoin the major-league bullpen after Blake Treinen (shoulder) was placed on the injured list. Cleavinger allowed a run in two-thirds of an inning during his season debut with the Dodgers last week.

Wil Crowe RP | PIT
Pirates' Wil Crowe: Excellent in relief
Crowe (1-0) allowed one hit and struck out five across 2.1 scoreless innings to earn the win Thursday against the Cubs.
Crowe entered the game in the fourth inning in relief of Bryse Wilson. He struck out five of the eight batters he faced and induced six swinging strikes on a total of 45 pitches. Crowe has yet to allow an earned run across five appearances and 12.1 frames this season while compiling a strong 15:4 K:BB. He has thrown multiple innings in each of his outings, but has been capped at around 50 pitches. As the Pirates search for an optimal combination in their rotation, it's possible Crowe enters the mix if he continues to prove effective in longer stints.
