Junis was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Since Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, Junis will be available for Friday's matchup against the Nationals. If the right-hander isn't utilized out of the bullpen Friday, he's a strong candidate to take DeSclafani's place in the rotation. Junis has made three starts for Sacramento this year and has posted an 8.74 ERA and 2.07 WHIP in 11.1 innings.
