  • Alex Colome RP | CHW

Rockies' Alex Colome: Earns third save

Colome picked up the save, allowing a hit in the ninth inning of a 4-2 win Thursday in San Francisco.

After giving up a one-out single, Colome got Joc Pederson to ground into a game-ending double play. With Daniel Bard having pitched in consecutive games, Colome was given the opportunity to collect his third save of the year. The 33-year-old has been excellent of late and has allowed only one (unearned) run in his last 11 innings.

  • Yency Almonte RP | LAD

Dodgers' Yency Almonte: Pitching well this season

Almonte tossed a perfect inning against the White Sox on Wednesday, notching two strikeouts and earning a hold.

Almonte made quick work of Chicago in the seventh frame, needing 13 pitches to retire the side while striking out the final two batters in the inning. The right-hander picked up his second hold of the season as a result of the strong outing. Almonte has been excellent since being called up in mid-May, posting a 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB across 14 innings.

  • Camilo Doval RP | NYY

Giants' Camilo Doval: Picks up win Wednesday

Doval (1-2) earned the win Wednesday, striking out one in a perfect inning versus the Rockies.

Doval was brought in for the 10th inning and kept the game tied. He got the win when the Giants scored the winning run in the bottom of the frame. After a shaky stretch to end May which seeped into June that saw him allow seven runs (four earned) in five innings, he's bounced back with three straight scoreless appearances. The right-hander has a 3.04 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB through 23.2 innings while going 8-for-10 in save chances this season.

  • Wil Crowe RP | PIT

Pirates' Wil Crowe: Takes third loss

Crowe (2-3) allowed one earned run on three hits while striking out three across 1.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Tigers.

Crowe struck out the side in the seventh inning but allowed three consecutive singles to begin the eighth. He's primarily been used for single frames in recent appearances, and even after taking the loss Wednesday, Crowe has maintained a 2.08 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB across his last 10 appearances.

  • Tanner Scott RP | LAD

Marlins' Tanner Scott: Backs into win Wednesday

Scott (2-1) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up an unearned run on one hit with two strikeouts in the 10th inning of a 2-1 victory over the Nationals.

The lefty allowed the designated runner Luis Garcia to score on a single by Keibert Ruiz for the game's first run, but the Marlins struck back for two runs in the bottom of the 10th. Scott has been Miami's most reliable high-leverage reliever lately, but that's not saying much -- he has a 4.15 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB through 13 innings since the beginning of May with two wins, a save and a hold in 14 appearances.

  • Tanner Rainey RP | DET

Nationals' Tanner Rainey: Blows third save

Rainey (1-2) blew his third save of the season and took the loss Wednesday as the Nationals fell 2-1 to the Marlins in 10 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits while recording only one out.

All the scoring occurred in the 10th, as the Nats grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the frame before Rainey let it slip away. The loss wasn't entirely on him, however, as the tying run scored after video review when Keibert Ruiz was ruled to have blocked the plate and not allowed a clear lane for Jazz Chisholm. Nonetheless, Rainey is now a mediocre 7-for-10 in converting save chances this season to go along with a 3.06 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB through 17.2 innings.

  • Sean Manaea RP | NYM

Padres' Sean Manaea: Cruises to third win

Manaea (3-3) earned the win against the Mets on Wednesday, pitching seven innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out three.

The Padres racked up 11 runs through the first five innings of the contest, allowing Manaea to hit cruise control as he evened his season record at 3-3. The southpaw wasn't overpowering in the performance -- he notched a season-low three strikeouts -- but that didn't prevent him from finishing with his third straight quality start. Manaea has been an excellent addition for San Diego this season, posting a 3.52 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 9.3 K/9 over 69 innings thus far.

  • Packy Naughton RP | STL

Cardinals' Packy Naughton: Roughed up by Rays

Naughton (0-2) allowed four earned runs on five hits with no walks or strikeouts across 1.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Rays.

Naughton wasn't stretched out to be a starter, so he wasn't likely to pitch deep into the game even if he was effective. However, that wasn't the case, as he allowed three doubles in the first frame to account for three earned runs. Naughton is likely to get one more turn through the rotation thanks to a doubleheader, though Steven Matz's (shoulder) impending return could cause Naughton's role to shift in the near future. He has primarily served a multi-inning relief role with St. Louis this season and now has a 5.54 ERA with a 12:1 K:BB across 13 innings.

  • Daniel Hudson RP | LAD

Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Grabs fifth save

Hudson earned a save after he pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit while striking out two in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

With Craig Kimbrel (personal) on the paternity list, Hudson was called upon to protect a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth. He worked around a two-out single by Yasmani Grandal, getting Jake Burger to strike out to end the game and earn his fifth save of the season. Hudson has been very effective this season while operating as the primary set-up man to Kimbrel, producing a 1.86 ERA and 0.78 WHIP with 24 strikeouts over 19.1 innings while also recording seven holds and five saves, all over 19 appearances.

  • Adonis Medina RP | SEA

Mets' Adonis Medina: Returns to minors

Medina was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Medina was with the big-league club for the past week and appeared in two games, firing a pair of scoreless innings while also recording his first career save. The right-hander has a 4.66 ERA across 9.2 innings for the Mets this year.
