Medina was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.
Medina was with the big-league club for the past week and appeared in two games, firing a pair of scoreless innings while also recording his first career save. The right-hander has a 4.66 ERA across 9.2 innings for the Mets this year.
