Rockies' Tyler Kinley: Likely out for season
Manager Bud Black said Wednesday that Kinley (elbow) is likely out for the season, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Kinley was initially believed to be dealing with elbow soreness, but he's been diagnosed with a right elbow strain and a flexor tear following further examination. The right-hander will undergo a procedure soon, and the team hasn't yet ruled out Tommy John surgery. He was in the midst of a career-best season prior to his injury, as he posted a 0.75 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 24 innings over 25 appearances.

Brewers' Josh Hader: Lands on paternity list
Hader was placed on the paternity list Wednesday.
Hader has made only three appearances in June -- including his first blown save and loss of the season -- with the Brewers in free fall, and he'll now step away from the team for a few days to be with his family. Assuming there's no complications, the left-hander should be back by Saturday's contest in Cincinnati. Devin Williams is the likely candidate to receive any save opportunities in the meantime.

Kilian was recalled from Triple-A Iowa ahead of Wednesday's start against the Padres, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Kilian will make his second career major-league start Wednesday after he gave up three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six in five innings against the Cardinals on June 4. The Cubs are dealing with several injuries in their rotation, so the 25-year-old will likely have a chance to earn an extended stay in the rotation if he performs well against San Diego on Wednesday.
