Yerry De Los Santos RP | NYY
Pirates' Yerry De Los Santos: Returns from COVID-19 IL
The Pirates reinstated De Los Santos from the COVID-19-related injured list Wednesday.
Since De Los Santos was first placed on the IL on Sunday, he may not have even tested positive for the virus, or he was able to clear the necessary protocols quickly if he did. Due to the brevity of his absence, De Los Santos won't need to regain conditioning and should be available out of the bullpen for Wednesday's series finale with the Yankees.

Silvino Bracho RP | CIN
Braves' Silvino Bracho: Sent outright to Triple-A
Atlanta outrighted Bracho to Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.
After he cleared waivers upon being designated for assignment Monday, Bracho will now report to Triple-A Gwinnett. He appeared in one game with Atlanta, tossing one scoreless inning while hitting a batter.

Bryse Wilson RP | PHI
Pirates' Bryse Wilson: Starting Thursday's nightcap
Wilson will be called up from Triple-A Indianapolis to start the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Reds, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Wilson was sent down by Pittsburgh on Sunday but will rejoin the major-league club to make a spot start during Thursday's nightcap. He's had lackluster results over his last five major-league outings and has posted a 10.89 ERA and 2.27 WHIP in 20.2 innings during that time.

Mark Leiter RP | ATH
Cubs' Mark Leiter: Entering rotation Thursday
Leiter is scheduled to start Thursday's game in Los Angeles against the Dodgers, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Leiter joins the rotation as a replacement for Alec Mills (back), who exited seven pitches into his most recent start Sunday against the Red Sox and was moved to the 15-day injured list. Following Mills' departure, Leiter stepped in and struck out five over 5.1 innings of one-run ball, so the right-hander should be sufficiently stretched out as he prepares for his fourth start of the season with the big-league club.

Daniel Norris RP | CLE
Cubs' Daniel Norris: Rehab assignment on tap
Norris (finger) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Iowa on Thursday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Norris progressed to facing live hitters Tuesday, and he's been cleared to return to game action in the minors. He's been on the IL since June 23, so he'll likely be able to rejoin the Cubs following a brief stint in Iowa.

Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Marlins' Tanner Scott: Notches save No. 10
Scott recorded his 10th save of the season in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Angels, giving up a run on one hit and two walks while striking out one in the ninth inning.
The southpaw blew the combined shutout after Sandy Alcantara delivered another eight dazzling innings, but after he served up a bases-loaded sacrifice fly to Taylor Ward with one out, Scott got Jared Walsh to fly out to end the game. He's been tagged for runs in back-to-back appearances, but Scott still seems to have a fairly secure hold on the closer role for Miami, posting a 3.07 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB through 14.2 innings since the beginning of June while converting nine of 11 save chances and collecting four wins.

Mitch White RP | MIL
Dodgers' Mitch White: Ready to start Wednesday's finale
White is scheduled to start Wednesday's home game against the Rockies.
Though White was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday against Colorado, he won't be dropped from the rotation. Instead, the Dodgers summoned Ryan Pepiot from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make a spot start Tuesday simply because manager Dave Roberts wanted to afford the five members of his rotation an additional day of rest in advance of their respective outings this week. White will return to the mound on five days' rest Wednesday, and he'll have another five-day break ahead of his final start before the All-Star break thanks to a team off day next Monday.

Drew VerHagen RP | STL
Cardinals' Drew VerHagen: Starting up rehab assignment
VerHagen (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Peoria on Wednesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
VerHagen has been out since June 24 with right shoulder soreness. He's eligible to return from the injured list Saturday, and if all goes well during his rehab, it's possible he'll require just a minimum stint on the shelf.

Brusdar Graterol RP | LAD
Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol: Converts second save
Graterol allowed a hit and struck out two to earn the save in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rockies.
Graterol had no trouble protecting a three-run lead Tuesday. He stepped into the closer role with Craig Kimbrel (back) currently day-to-day -- if Kimbrel goes on the injured list, Graterol would likely continue to see save chances. Both of the 23-year-old's saves this year have come in his last five appearances. He's added a 3.55 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 34:10 K:BB across 38 innings while adding eight holds, a blown save and a 2-3 record in a career-high 35 appearances.

Dominic Leone RP | CHW
Giants' Dominic Leone: Melts down Tuesday
Leone (3-1) took the loss Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks. He was charged with four runs on two hits and two hits with one strikeout in one-third of an inning.
Leone had a one-run lead to protect in the eighth inning. He struggled with command and threw a pair of wild pitches before he was replaced by Camilo Doval, who gave up a three-run home run to Daulton Varsho. The poor outing from Leone stands in contrast to his steady June (1.74 ERA in 10.1 innings). He's still surrendering too many baserunners, as evidenced by his 1.48 WHIP to go with a 3.64 ERA and 33:11 K:BB across 29.2 innings this year. He's added a save, 10 holds and two blown saves as a high-leverage option, though Leone is still unlikely to get regular save chances.
