Camilo Doval RP | NYY
Giants' Camilo Doval: Logs 16th save
Doval struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Pirates.
Doval cruised through this outing, needing just nine pitches to earn his 16th save of the season. He's earned saves in his last three outings, and he hasn't allowed a run in his last five innings. The closer has a 2.87 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 59:19 K:BB through 47 innings this year.

Carlos Estevez RP | KC
Rockies' Carlos Estevez: Clean inning for second save
Estevez pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
Daniel Bard and Alex Colome both struggled in Thursday's win versus the Cardinals, so it's not surprising they were left in reserve Friday. Estevez stepped in seamlessly to pick up his second save of the campaign, facing Arizona's Nos. 5-7 hitters and retiring them on a combined 18 pitches (12 strikes). For the season, Estevez has a 4.28 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 38:18 K:BB, five holds, a blown save and a 3-4 record through 40 innings, but he's unlikely to unseat Bard as the Rockies' closer this year.

Seranthony Dominguez RP | CHW
Phillies' Seranthony Dominguez: Tosses scoreless inning
Dominguez (6-3) allowed one hit and a walk in a scoreless frame to earn a win over the Mets on Friday.
Dominguez entered a 1-1 game in the ninth inning and picked up the win after the Phillies took the lead in the 10th. David Robertson picked up the save, and they each have two saves since Philadelphia acquired Robertson earlier this month. Dominguez lowered his season ERA to 1.49 with a 51:13 K:BB through 42.1 frames.

Ryan Helsley RP | BAL
Cardinals' Ryan Helsley: Converts two-inning save
Helsley allowed two hits and struck out three over two scoreless innings to earn the save in Friday's 3-1 win over the Brewers.
Helsley has converted all four of his save chances while allowing just one run across 8.2 innings in seven appearances since the All-Star break. He entered Friday's game in the eighth inning to face the heart of the Brewers' order, then stayed on for the ninth, needing 29 pitches (22 strikes) to complete the assignment. The 28-year-old is up to 12 saves in 15 chances while adding six holds, a 0.76 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 70:13 K:BB through 47.2 innings.

David Robertson RP | PHI
Phillies' David Robertson: Notches 16th save
Robertson struck out one batter in a perfect inning and earned a save over the Mets on Friday.
After Seranthony Dominguez tossed a scoreless ninth inning, Robertson finished off a 2-1 victory in the 10th. He's struck out five batters through four shutout innings since joining the Phillies, lowering his season ERA to 2.03 through 44.1 frames. For now, it appears that he and Dominguez will continue splitting save opportunities.

Taylor Rogers RP | MIN
Brewers' Taylor Rogers: Ready to return
Rogers (knee) has reportedly been available since Wednesday but has yet to make an appearance, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Rogers received a cortisone shot in his left knee last weekend and was unavailable through Tuesday's game against the Rays as a result. He was available both for Wednesday's series finale and for Friday's series opener against the Cardinals but didn't make an appearance in either contest. Rogers should get into a game soon, however, as he doesn't have any structural damage per Rosiak.

Yerry De Los Santos RP | NYY
Pirates' Yerry De Los Santos: Lands on 60-day injured list
De Los Santos was placed on the 60-day injured list with a right lat strain Friday, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
De Los Santos posted a 4.91 ERA in 25.2 innings of relief in his rookie season, though that number was as low as 2.84 as recently as July 24. It now seems possible that his 10.80 ERA over his last eight appearances may be at least partially attributable to injury. His 60-day absence takes him past the final day of the season, so the injury officially shuts him down for the year. Austin Brice's contract was selected in a corresponding move.

Yunior Marte RP | CIN
Giants' Yunior Marte: Sent to minors
Marte was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday.
The demotion comes after Marte was knocked around for five runs by the Padres on Wednesday, raising his season ERA to 6.15. Thomas Szapucki was recalled to take his place in the bullpen.

Thomas Szapucki RP | SF
Giants' Thomas Szapucki: Recalled by Giants
Szapucki was recalled by the Giants on Friday.
Szapucki's lone big-league appearance of the season came against the Giants back in late May, prior to his deadline-day move from the Mets. His current employers knocked him around for nine runs in just 1.1 innings in that appearance, but he's been far better at the Triple-A level, posting a 3.38 ERA. Yunior Marte was optioned to clear space in the bullpen.

Andres Machado RP | WAS
Nationals' Andres Machado: Sent down Friday
Machado was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Friday.
Machado has served mainly as a middle reliever for the Nationals this year, and he's posted a 4.57 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 43.1 innings over 38 appearances in the majors. However, he'll head to Rochester as part of a set of moves to make room on the active roster for Tyler Clippard and Jake McGee.
