Dylan Floro RP | ARI
Marlins' Dylan Floro: Nails down eighth save
Floro struck out the side in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his eighth save of the season in a 6-4 win over the Mets.
The right-hander did his best Edwin Diaz impression as he converted his third straight save chance and fifth in six September opportunities. Floro has a 0.82 ERA, 0.36 WHIP and 11:0 K:BB through 11 innings on the month, and while he doesn't have premium stuff, when healthy he's been the Marlins' most effective reliever over the last two years.

Craig Kimbrel RP | TB
Dodgers' Craig Kimbrel: Melts down in high-leverage spot
Kimbrel dropped to 6-7 on the season after he walked three of the five batters he faced while allowing an unearned run Tuesday in the Dodgers' 4-3 loss to the Padres in 10 innings.
After manager Dave Roberts officially removed him from the closer's role last weekend, Kimbrel turned in a clean inning in his first appearance following the demotion, but he took a big step backward Tuesday. Upon taking the mound in the top of the 10th with a runner on second base, Kimbrel proceeded to retire Ha-Seong Kim on a sacrifice bunt and struck out Manny Machado, but he loaded the bases with a pair of walks, one of which was intentional. Kimbrel then faced Jorge Alfaro, who was able to lay off a four-seam fastball just outside the zone with a 3-2 count to draw a walkoff free pass. In light of yet another poor showing in a high-leverage spot, Kimbrel looks to be further away from returning to closing duties, and he could even find himself at risk of missing out on a spot on the Dodgers' postseason roster.

Silvino Bracho RP | CIN
Braves' Silvino Bracho: Contract selected Wednesday
Bracho's contract was selected from Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.
Bracho was traded from Boston to Atlanta in late June, and he's posted a 2.08 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 26 innings over 20 appearances (four starts) at Gwinnett. He had a brief stint in Atlanta's bullpen in early July and will rejoin the active roster ahead of the final week of the regular season.

Josh Hader RP | HOU
Padres' Josh Hader: Blows fourth save
Hader blew the save during Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning victory against the Dodgers, allowing an unearned run on one hit and one walk while striking out one.
Hader entered in the top of the ninth to protect a one-run lead and surrendered a leadoff Trea Turner double on his first pitch. A subsequent error put runners on the corners and a two-out passed ball let Turner in to tie the game. The blown save is the 28-year-old's first since Aug. 9, as he continues to pitch to his potential this month despite the poor result Tuesday. Over nine contests dating back to Aug. 31, Hader has permitted one earned run on six baserunners while striking out nine across 8.2 innings.

David Bednar RP | NYY
Pirates' David Bednar: Earns 18th save
Bednar picked up the save Tuesday against the Reds, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning of a 4-1 victory.
Facing the last three spots in the Reds' lineup, Bednar struck out the first two batters before ending it with a groundout. It was his 18th save of the season and first since returning from the injured list Sept. 22. The 27-year-old is likely to occupy the closer role for Pittsburgh over the final eight days of the season.

Manuel Rodriguez RP | TB
Cubs' Manuel Rodriguez: Records third save
Rodriguez picked up the save in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Phillies with a clean inning. He did not record a strikeout.
In his first appearance since blowing the save and earning the win against Pittsburgh on Sept. 23, Rodriguez was called upon to pick up the save with a runner on first base in the ninth inning. He delivered by getting J.T. Realmuto to ground into a fielder's choice and Alec Bohm to bounce into the double play to end the game and record his third save of the season. In 12 innings this season, Rodriguez has a 3.00 ERA and is 3-for-5 in save opportunities.

Brandon Hughes RP | CHC
Cubs' Brandon Hughes: Picks up hold
Hughes allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning as the Cubs defeated the Phillies, 2-1 on Tuesday.
After converting the Cubs' last save opportunity in his last outing, Hughes was called upon to protect a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning Tuesday. He recorded a lineout followed by a walk and a double play to retire the Phillies but was pulled after allowing a leadoff single in the ninth inning. Manuel Rodriguez quickly recorded three outs to end the game and earn Hughes his seventh hold. Since the team traded David Robertson on Aug. 2, manager David Ross has followed somewhat of a closer-by-committee approach, leading to Hughes recording four saves and four holds in the month of September.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Resumes throwing
Treinen (shoulder) began throwing again Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Progress has been slow in Treinen's recovery, and a temporarily shutdown last Thursday delayed matters further. Treinen said he's feeling better now -- resuming throwing is certainly a good sign -- but he doesn't know if he'll be able to begin the playoffs on the Dodgers' postseason roster.

Carlos Estevez RP | KC
Rockies' Carlos Estevez: Placed on COVID list
Estevez was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday.
Estevez has been having a solid year, posting a career-best 3.47 ERA and 1.18 WHIP over 57 innings out of the bullpen. There is no minimum or maximum time that players must spend on the COVID list, but in the meantime Ty Blach has been recalled to replace Estevez in the bullpen.

Ty Blach RP | CHC
Rockies' Ty Blach: Recalled to big leagues
Blach was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
Blach currently holds a 6.30 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 40 innings in 20 big-league appearances this season. His unimpressive numbers suggest that he'll be used as a low-leverage option out of Colorado's bullpen and could be sent back to the minors once Carlos Estevez returns from the COVID-19 injured list.
