  • Matt Carasiti RP | ATL

Rockies' Matt Carasiti: Outrighted to Triple-A

Carasiti cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Carasiti is no longer on the Rockies' 40-man roster but will remain in the organization. The right-handed reliever has posted a 6.89 ERA over 46 appearances across parts of three major-league seasons.

  • Matt Strahm RP | KC

Phillies' Matt Strahm: Secures first postseason save

Strahm pitched a scoreless inning to close out the save in Thursday's 3-1 win over Atlanta in Game 4 of the NLDS. He struck out one.

Strahm was called into the game in an nontraditional spot -- the team has been relying on Craig Kimbrel in the ninth inning during the postseason, but Kimbrel was needed earlier in the game against Atlanta's key right-handers. Strahm took over for Gregory Soto with runners on first and third, but the added pressure was no issue, as Strahm put away the side to earn his first career save in the postseason. For his playoff career, the southpaw has a 5.79 ERA and 2.57 WHIP with three strikeouts across 4.2 innings. He will once again be a key part of the bullpen against the Diamondbacks in the NLCS next week.

  • Brett Kennedy RP | CIN

Reds' Brett Kennedy: Outrighted to Triple-A

Kennedy cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.

Kennedy saw action in five games as a swingman for the Reds this season, holding a 6.50 ERA. He is no longer on the 40-man roster but remains in the organization.

  • Alan Busenitz RP | CIN

Reds' Alan Busenitz: Removed from 40-man roster

Busenitz cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.

Busenitz pitched well during his brief time with the Reds this season, posting a 2.57 ERA in six appearances, in what was his first big-league action in five years. He's no longer on the 40-man roster but will remain in the organization.

  • Kyle Nelson RP | ATL

Diamondbacks' Kyle Nelson: Joins roster for NLDS

Nelson is on Arizona's roster for its NLDS matchup against the Dodgers, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Nelson was left off the D-backs' roster in favor of Bryce Jarvis ahead of the NL Wild Card Series against Milwaukee, and the two pitchers will swap places for the NLDS. Nelson gave up six runs over 3.2 innings across his final five appearances in the regular season, so the Diamondbacks will likely limit him to low-leverage outings.

  • Bryce Jarvis RP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Bryce Jarvis: Loses postseason roster spot

Jarvis isn't on the Diamondbacks' NLDS roster, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Although Jarvis put up a 3.04 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 23.2 innings in the majors this season, the Diamondbacks didn't use him out of the bullpen during their wild-card series against the Brewers. He'll now be cast off the roster ahead of their Divisional Series matchup against the Dodgers in favor of Kyle Nelson.

  • Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY

Dodgers' Ryan Yarbrough: Not on NLDS roster

Yarbrough isn't listed on the Dodgers' roster for the NLDS, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Yarbrough turned in an ugly performance in his season finale, surrendering nine runs in four innings while striking out just two batters en route to a loss Sept. 28 against Colorado. He'll end up being passed up for the postseason roster while Emmet Sheehan and Michael Grove both earn spots.

  • Ryan Pepiot RP | TB

Dodgers' Ryan Pepiot: In mix for NLDS Game 3

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Pepiot is "in play" to pitch in Game 3 of the NLDS on Wednesday at Arizona, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Pepiot could either work in bulk relief behind Lance Lynn or get the start himself as the best-of-five National League Division Series shifts from Dodger Stadium to Chase Field. Pepiot made only eight appearances -- three starts -- in the majors during the regular season but dominated to the tune of a 2.14 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 38:5 K:BB in 42 innings.

  • Michael Tonkin RP | MIN

Braves' Michael Tonkin: Included on NLDS roster

Tonkin will be on Atlanta's roster for the NLDS versus the Phillies, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The 33-year-old right-hander essentially won out over Kyle Wright for the primary long relief gig. Tonkin struggled down the stretch in the regular season, but he was a bullpen workhorse for the NL East champs over the course of the year while logging 80 innings across 45 appearances.

  • Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Makes roster for NLDS

Hernandez (forearm) will be part of Atlanta's roster for the NLDS against the Phillies, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Hernandez allowed three earned runs over just 3.2 major-league innings during the regular season and finished out the year on the 60-day injured list due to right forearm inflammation. Bowman notes, however, that the 27-year-old reliever "made a great impression" during Atlanta's pair of intrasquad games this week at Truist Park to secure a bullpen spot for the best-of-five National League Division Series versus Philadelphia. Michael Tonkin also made the cut, while Jesse Chavez and Kyle Wright did not.
