The Marlins plan to recall Gusto from Triple-A Jacksonville during their series in Washington that begins Monday, FishOnFirst.com reports.

Miami is presumably earmarking Gusto for one of the two vacancies in its rotation, after Eury Perez (hamstring) and Janson Junk (shin) were both placed on the injured list over the weekend. The Marlins list Sandy Alcantara and Max Meyer as their starters for Monday and Wednesday, respectively, so Gusto will likely slot into the rotation for the middle game of the series Tuesday and will be deployed as either a traditional starter or bulk reliever. Since the Marlins optioned him to Jacksonville in early April, Gusto has turned in a 3.63 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB in 39.2 innings over nine appearances (six starts).

Atlanta optioned Molina to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Molina was in the bullpen this past weekend in Cincinnati but didn't make an appearance. Atlanta will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jays.

Gordon (0-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk over three-plus innings against San Francisco. He struck out two.

Gordon made his second start of the season and didn't fare as well as last time out, when he allowed one run across five innings. The right-hander was lifted at 75 pitches (48 strikes) without recording an out in the fourth inning after allowing a double to Bryce Eldridge and hitting Daniel Susac. Both runners came around to score after Brennan Bernardino relieved Gordon. Across nine appearances and 35.1 innings this season, the 28-year-old owns a 6.37 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 35:8 K:BB. If he remains in the rotation, Gordon is lined up to make his next start Saturday against Milwaukee.

Devenski (illness) is expected to resume throwing bullpen sessions during the upcoming week, MLB.com reports.

Devenski was cleared to resume all baseball activities May 13, but he appears to have been limited to throwing off flat ground since that date. While the right-hander looks poised to take the next step in throwing program by getting back on a mound, he's still likely at least a couple weeks away from being ready for action with the Pirates. Before landing on the injured list May 7 due to an undisclosed illness, Devenski surrendered two earned runs on five hits over 2.1 innings in three appearances out of the Pittsburgh bullpen.

Brzykcy is expected to be called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Brzykcy will join the big-league club for the first time in 2026, looking to make his Marlins debut after being claimed by the team off waivers in November. The right-hander has posted a 4.79 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 24 strikeouts over 20.2 innings in 16 appearances out of the bullpen with Jacksonville so far this year.

La Sorsa is expected to trigger his upward mobility clause Monday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

La Sorsa signed a minor-league contract with the Pirates before the 2026 campaign and already attempted to find another suitor once by exercising his upward mobility clause, ultimately sticking around after he went unclaimed on waivers in late March. The southpaw has posted a 3.60 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 21 strikeouts over 25 innings in 21 appearances, including two starts, with Triple-A Indianapolis this season. It's unclear if he'll garner much interest on the open market.

Herget (shoulder) was cleared to resume playing catch May 24, MLB.com reports.

Herget is in the process of ramping up his throwing after he was placed on the injured list May 14 due to a right shoulder impingement. The 32-year-old righty had been one of the Rockies' key setup men prior to landing on the shelf, notching three holds and one save while logging a 5.06 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB in 16 innings over 15 appearances.

Vodnik (elbow) tossed a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Vodnik hit 95 mph with his fastball during the workout, putting him a few ticks behind his season-long average of 98.8 mph. Even so, the side session represents an important step forward in the recovery process for Vodnik, who was placed on the 15-day injured list May 20 due to right ulnar nerve inflammation. He's slated to throw another side session early during the upcoming week before advancing to facing hitters by the weekend.

Peguero suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's 19-6 win over the Rockies, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Peguero pitched one-third of an inning before sustaining the injury in the bottom of the eighth. The right-hander missed the entire first month of the season while recovering from a Grade 2 hamstring strain that he suffered during spring training, and he could be headed for another stint on the injured list.

Peguero (undisclosed) exited Sunday's contest against the Rockies in the bottom of the eighth inning, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Peguero entered the contest with the Giants up 17-6 heading into the bottom of the eighth. The right-hander got Willi Castro to fly out to open the frame, but he then pulled up lame while trying to field an infield single off the bat of Tyler Freeman in the following at-bat. It's unclear what injury Peguero may be dealing with, but JT Brubaker replaced him on the mound versus Colorado.
