Duran (1-0) earned the win over the Athletics on Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Making his first appearance of the season, Duran worked a scoreless ninth inning before the Royals rallied for a walk-off victory. He was acquired from the Dodgers at the trade deadline and posted a 3.15 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 64:29 K:BB across 45.2 innings at Triple-A before making his team debut Tuesday.

Lynch did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Athletics, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with one strikeout over four innings.

Lynch allowed a run in the first inning but held the Athletics scoreless from there while throwing 27 of 45 pitches for strikes and generating just two whiffs. It was the 29-year-old's third straight start, and he completed four frames in an outing for the first time in more than two years. He owns a 2.83 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 41:16 K:BB across 54 innings this season and lines up for a home matchup with the Tigers this weekend.

Perkins did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Royals, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four over 3.2 scoreless innings.

Perkins entered in the third inning and tossed 34 of 53 pitches for strikes with eight whiffs. It ended a nightmare stretch for the 26-year-old, who entered the contest having yielded 17 earned runs over his previous three August starts. He owns a 6.96 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 98:33 K:BB across 85.1 innings this season and lines up for a home matchup with the Astros this weekend.

Harris (3-2) blew a save and took the loss against the Royals on Tuesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and one walk in two-thirds of an inning. He did not register a strikeout.

Harris was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the eighth inning and secure a four-out save, but he departed after allowing a game-tying single in the ninth. Elvis Alvarado replaced him and surrendered a walk-off single, with the run and loss charged to the 29-year-old Harris. It's been a rocky August for the southpaw, who's blown two of five save chances and yielded five earned runs through seven games this month. On the year, he owns 12 saves and 10 holds to go along with a 3.79 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 72:35 K:BB across 54.2 innings.

Bautista (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment within the next week, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Coming back from surgery to repair his right labrum and rotator cuff, Bautista has reportedly looked impressive as he ramps up a a throwing program, and he's nearly ready to try things out in games. The reliever's rehab assignment will be a lengthy one, but he could be ready to rejoin the Orioles' bullpen by early September.

The Royals recalled Duran from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

Duran holds a 3.15 ERA and 64:29 KBB over 45.2 frames at the Triple-A level this season. His lone major-league appearance came in 2025 with the Athletics when he was charged with three runs while recording only one out.

The Royals optioned Erceg to Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

It's been a disastrous season for Erceg, who holds a 6.23 ERA, 1.89 WHIP and 31:29 K:BB over 43.1 innings. The Royals finally ran out of patience with the reliever after he recorded just one out combined over his last two appearances. His spot on the roster will be filled by Carlos Duran.

The Athletics recalled Rashi from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Rashi will get his first opportunity with the A's after being claimed off waivers by them earlier this month. The right-handed reliever holds a 5.40 ERA and 26:9 K:BB over 20 innings in the majors the last two seasons.

The Athletics optioned Barnett to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The transaction comes one day after Barnett was lit up for six runs over 2.2 innings in a loss to the Royals. With Jeffrey Springs (hip) slated to rejoin the Athletics' rotation this week, Barnett will lose his spot among the starting five and has now logged a 7.08 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 38:24 K:BB over 40.2 frames in 2026.

Urquidy (1-1) was the pitcher of record in Friday's 9-5 win over the Tigers, covering 3.2 innings out of the bullpen and striking out three batters while giving up three earned runs on five hits and no walks.

Making his White Sox debut after being called up from Triple-A Charlotte earlier in the day, Urquidy essentially ended up taking over the rotation spot that previously belonged to Noah Schultz, who was optioned to the minors Aug. 8. Though Sean Newcomb drew the start Friday, he ended up serving as more of an opener, covering 1.1 innings before Urquidy took over in bulk relief. While Urquidy was far from dominant over his 52-pitch appearance, he received enough run support to come away with a win. Expect Urquidy to remain in the rotation for another turn, with the White Sox likely to deploy him as a traditional starter or bulk reliever during Wednesday's series finale with the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
