Bednar secured the save in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the White Sox, giving up two runs on two hits and no walks while striking out three over one inning.

The 31-year-old entered for the ninth inning with a 3-0 advantage and needed all of that cushion, as Chase Meidroth launched a two-out, two-run home run. Bednar walked the tightrope Tuesday, with those runs being the first he has allowed since May 18 against Toronto. His scoreless streak lasted 21 appearances and saw him give up just eight hits with a 25:5 K:BB. Bednar is 22-for-24 in save chances and has settled in nicely after a shaky start to the year that resulted in a 5.14 ERA through his first 21 outings.

Twins general manager Jeremy Zoll said Tuesday that Sands (elbow) is expected to miss the rest of the season, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Sands is scheduled to meet with team physician Dr. Chris Camp on Wednesday before deciding on a treatment plan for his strained right elbow, but even if surgery isn't recommended, the 29-year-old reliever doesn't appear likely to pitch again in 2026. He had previously been shelved for nearly three months with a forearm strain before being shut down again after making just one appearance following his reinstatement from the injured list Sunday.

Hader recorded his 14th save Tuesday against the Angels, tossing a perfect ninth inning.

Hader was unsurprisingly called upon in the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead and needed just four pitches to retire the side in order and lock down his 14th save of the season. The veteran closer remains a perfect 14-for-14 in save opportunities this year and has allowed just three runs across 24 appearances. Hader continues to dominate in the closer role, posting a 1.23 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 33:10 K:BB over 22 innings this season.

Munoz allowed a run on two hits and a walk while striking out one over one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Dodgers.

Munoz's 13-inning scoreless streak came to an end as the Dodgers applied significant pressure in this outing. Munoz was able to limit the damage to one run, allowing him to pick up his 19th save of the campaign and his third over his last three outings. The veteran reliever has a 3.99 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 59:16 K:BB over 38.1 innings this season, but he has been much more reliable since mid-June.

Harris recorded his ninth save Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out three over 1.1 innings.

Harris entered with a three-run lead in the eighth inning after Luis Medina left runners on the corners with two outs. He immediately allowed an RBI single to Wilyer Abreu before escaping the inning with a strikeout. The ninth proved even more eventful, as Harris gave up a single and a two-run homer to Connor Wong to trim the lead to one run before inducing a game-ending flyout. The two runs were his first allowed since the All-Star break. Harris has converted three saves over his last five appearances and owns a 3.38 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 65:38 K:BB with nine saves in 13 chances and 10 holds this season.

Seymour will pitch in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Casey Legumina during Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

In his last turn through the rotation Thursday in Toronto, Seymour gave up just two earned runs in six innings out of the bullpen while working behind Legumina. The Rays will stick with the pairing again Wednesday, which should aid Seymour's chances of coming away with a win than if he were being used as a traditional starter.

Smith recorded his 30th save of the season in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Reds, walking one and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

The right-hander wasn't at his sharpest, needing 18 pitches (nine strikes) to preserve a 6-5 lead, but Smith was able to get the job done. He continues to lead the majors in saves, with his 30 putting him two ahead of the Rays' Bryan Baker, and through 10.2 innings in July, Smith sports a 0.84 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB.

Legumina will serve as the Rays' opening pitcher in Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Legumina gave up one run on two hits and two walks over two innings during his previous outing as an opener last Thursday in Toronto. He'll presumably cover the first inning or two of Wednesday's contest before Ian Seymour takes over in bulk relief.

Latz picked up his 21st save of the season in a perfect ninth inning of a 4-1 win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Latz needed just 10 pitches (eight strikes) to notch the save for Texas on Tuesday. The 30-year-old has now converted 16 consecutive save opportunities and has not blown a save since May 13. On the season, the left-hander has posted a 1.80 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and 51:11 K:BB in 50 innings.

Quantrill (4-3) earned the win after going 5.1 innings against Tampa Bay on Tuesday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out seven.

Starting just his sixth game of the season in 22 appearances, Quantrill logged his fourth win and his first since June 2. The 31-year-old punched out seven batters, notching his season high in strikeouts by surpassing his previous high of five, which he accomplished two different times. On the year, Quantrill now owns a 3.84 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 39:18 K:BB through 58.2 innings.
