Blewett (1-0) earned the win in Thursday's 7-4 victory over the Mariners. He allowed two hits and no walks while striking out four over two scoreless innings.
With starter Jack Perkins lasting just three innings, Blewett entered in the fourth frame and delivered two scoreless innings, becoming the pitcher of record when the A's took the lead for good in the top of the fifth. Since being designated for assignment and traded by the Cardinals in late July, the right-hander has posted a 2.70 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB across 23.1 innings with the Athletics.
