Hamilton (groin) will throw a live bullpen Thursday with Double-A Somerset, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander will join Carlos Rodon (back/forearm) in Somerset to throw a live bullpen. Hamilton has been on the injured list since the middle of May, and he could be in line for a rehab assignment in the coming days if the live session goes well.

Texas reinstated Barlow (illness) off the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Barlow missed just over the minimum 15 days on the injured list while dealing with kidney stones. The right-hander should return to a mid-to-late innings role in the Texas bullpen now that he's healthy. Owen White was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move.

The Rangers optioned White to Double-A Frisco on Wednesday.

White made his MLB debut out of the bullpen Tuesday against the Angels, taking the loss after allowing three runs over two innings with a walk and two strikeouts. The right-hander will return to Double-A a day later and should slot back into the Frisco rotation.

The Orioles placed Voth on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right elbow discomfort.

Voth will be shut down after he recorded just one out while allowing two earned runs on three hits and one walk in a relief appearance in Tuesday's 11-6 win over the Blue Jays. The Orioles will presumably send Voth in for further testing to determine whether he's dealing with an elbow strain or anything more severe than soreness or inflammation. Baltimore called up right-hander Reed Garrett from Triple-A Norfolk to take Voth's spot in the bullpen.

Baltimore selected Garrett's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

Garrett has pitched exceptionally well for Triple-A Norfolk in 2023 with a 1.59 ERA and 27 strikeouts over 22.2 innings in 19 appearances. The right-hander will be a mid-to-late innings option for Baltimore, and he takes the place of Austin Voth after Voth was placed on the 15-day injured list with discomfort in his right elbow.

The Rays optioned Beeks to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday.

Beeks will cede his spot in the bullpen and on the 26-man active roster to right-hander Zack Littell (shoulder), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. The demotion comes after Beeks was lit up for eight earned runs on 10 hits and four walks over 5.2 innings across his last four appearances for the Rays.

The Rays reinstated Littell (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Tampa Bay optioned lefty Jalen Beeks to Triple-A Durham to clear a spot in the bullpen and on the 26-man active roster for Littell, who missed about three weeks due to the inflamed right shoulder. Littell will likely work in lower-leverage spots for Tampa Bay after he surrendered six earned runs on 10 hits and three walks over 6.1 innings during his first six relief appearances in the majors this season.

The Tigers called Bristo up from Triple-A Toledo to serve as their 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader with Atlanta.

Bristo will give Detroit a multi-inning option out of the bullpen for the twin bill before he heads back to Toledo on Thursday. The right-hander has an unblemished ERA at the big-league level across five innings in two appearances between the Tigers and Rays, but he had been far less impressive at Toledo (8.10 ERA, 1.79 WHIP in 16.2 innings).

Otto (lat) allowed two runs on two hits while striking out four over three innings in a rehab outing for Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

Otto began his rehab assignment Tuesday, and the right-hander threw 36 pitches (25 strikes). The Rangers will build up his strength, and Otto could eventually rejoin the team's starting rotation. With Jacob deGrom (elbow) headed for Tommy John surgery, there's room. Dane Dunning has been filling in, but his last three starts (5.74 ERA, eight walks) were rocky.

White (0-1) was tagged with Tuesday's loss to the Angels. He allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out two over two-plus relief innings.

White was called up from Double-A Frisco to give the Rangers innings on a night when scheduled starter Jon Gray was scratched due to a blister. It was White's MLB debut. He followed starter Cody Bradford, who was also called up to start Tuesday. White is not expected to remain up with the Rangers, who were desperate for innings after using four relievers over seven innings Monday.
