Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani will be limited to pitching four innings in his next start Wednesday against the Angels in Anaheim, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

The Dodgers are continuing to have Ohtani get stretched out incrementally as a pitcher since he made his team debut on the mound June 16 after completing his recovery from his second career Tommy John surgery, which he underwent in September 2023. Though he's already made eight starts as a pitcher and has delivered excellent ratios (2.37 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 25:5 K:BB), he's tossed just 19 innings in total and has yet to work deep enough into any of those outings to qualify for a win. Ohtani won't be in the mix for a win Wednesday since he'll be limited to four innings for a second outing in a row in addition to serving as the Dodgers' designated hitter, but assuming he comes out of the appearance feeling well physically, he should be ready to make a five-inning start when his turn in the rotation comes up again next week.

Flores went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Padres.

Flores drove in the Giants' lone run on an RBI single in the first inning. The 34-year-old added another single in the sixth, marking his second multi-hit performance in four games this month. After missing six matchups due to left hamstring tightness, Flores returned to action in Saturday's loss to the Nationals. In three games since his return, he's batting .250 with two RBI across nine plate appearances.

Yelich went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer, a walk, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.

Yelich had a perfect day at the plate and his two-run homer in the fifth was part of a 14-run offensive eruption. Yelich has posted four multi-hit efforts in 10 games in August and has homered in consecutive games. Yelich leads the Brewers with 23 home runs and 78 RBI, both of which are his best numbers since 2019.

Andujar started at designated hitter and went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Phillies.

Andujar homered in the fourth inning, his second blast over the last three games. He's started five consecutive contests and hit safely in all of them. Since being traded from the Athletics, Andujar has gone 8-for-23 (.348) with four extra-base hits, four RBI and six runs scored over nine games in a Cincinnati uniform.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and a second run scored in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Angels.

Ohtani has homered in four straight games, his second streak of at least that length since the All-Star break. He's on an 11-game hitting streak to begin August as well, going 18-for-41 (.439) with 11 walks so far this month. The superstar has 43 homers this season, just two behind Seattle's Cal Raleigh (45) for the major-league lead. Ohtani has also batted .284 with a 1.020 OPS, 79 RBI, 114 runs scored and 17 stolen bases through 118 contests. He is expected to start on the mound versus his former team Wednesday.

O'Hearn isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

O'Hearn will receive a day off after going 0-for-7 with four walks and two RBI across his last three games. Jose Iglesias will take over as the Padres' designated hitter and bat seventh.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Padres.

The 28-year-old launched a solo shot to left-center field off Yu Darvish in the sixth inning, tying the game at 1-1. Devers has now homered in three of his last four games, slashing .308/.438/1.000 with a 3:2 BB:K over 16 plate appearances. Over 22 outings since the All-Star break, he's slashing .262/.367/.524 with 13 RBI, 13 runs scored, six home runs, four doubles and a 13:27 BB:K across 98 plate appearances.

Bell went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Royals.

The streaky slugger took Bailey Falter deep in the first inning, but the Nationals couldn't hold onto that early lead. Bell has four extra-base hits -- two doubles and two homers -- in the last three games, and over 18 contests since the All-Star break he's slashing .311/.440/.557 with four of his 15 long balls on the season.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Monday in a loss to the Angels.

The Dodgers failed to score through seven innings, but Ohtani finally broke the seal with a 389-foot solo shot in the eighth. The long ball put the slugger back into a tie for the NL homer lead with Kyle Schwarber, who hit his 42nd home run earlier in the day. Ohtani has gone deep in three straight contests and in four of his past five games. He's in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak during which he's batting .447 (17-for-38) with seven extra-base hits, five RBI, 12 runs and four stolen bases.

Schwarber went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 4-1 win at Cincinnati.

The Philadelphia designated hitter stretched his team's lead to 4-1 with a 404-foot, two-run blast off Reds reliever Tony Santillan in the eighth. Schwarber has been on a tear since the All-Star break, batting .270 (23-for-85) with 12 homers, 28 RBI and 15 runs scored across 22 contests, as he's entered the discussion for the NL MVP Award. In 524 total plate appearances, the 32-year-old is slashing .252/.376/.584 with 10 steals, 97 RBI and 81 runs scored.
