McCann (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Binghamton on Thursday, Tim Britton of The Athletic report.

McCann has been sidelined for just over a month due to a broken wrist, but he's been cleared to return to game action in the minors. While the 32-year-old will likely require several rehab games given the length of his absence, he seems to be on track to return from the injured list sometime in late June.

D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Washington.

D'Arnaud will take a seat after catching both of Atlanta's last two games, allowing William Contreras to get a turn behind the dish. Though he still looks like Atlanta's No. 1 backstop, d'Arnaud will likely end up sitting two or three times per week while Contreras' potent bat has allowed him to earn playing time.

Nido is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Nido will get a much-needed breather after he went 2-for-17 with an RBI and a pair of runs while starting behind the plate in each of the past five games. Patrick Mazeika will get a start at catcher Wednesday, but Nido seems to have clearly established himself as the Mets' No. 1 backstop while James McCann (wrist) remains on the injured list.

Wynns is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Wynns went 5-for-15 with a double and a walk while starting at either catcher or designated hitter in five of his first six games with the Giants. However, with No. 1 backstop Curt Casali behind the plate Wednesday after moving past a hamstring injury, Wynns' opportunities are likely to be limited moving forward.

Casali (hamstring) is starting Wednesday against Kansas City, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.

Casali missed the last three matchups due to a hamstring injury, but he'll start at catcher and bat ninth during Wednesday's series finale against the Royals. Over his six games prior to his absence, he went 3-for-15 with a double, three runs, a walk and seven strikeouts.

Stallings isn't starting Wednesday against Philadelphia, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Stallings will get a breather after he went 1-for-6 with a three-run homer, a walk and two strikeouts over the last two games. Nick Fortes is starting behind the dish and batting eighth.

Realmuto isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins.

Realmuto started in the last four games and went 4-for-16 with a double, two runs, an RBI, two stolen bases, a walk and three strikeouts. Garrett Stubbs will draw the start behind the plate and bat ninth Wednesday.

Contreras went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Padres.

Contreras started the game with a bang, taking San Diego starter Sean Manaea deep in the first inning with the bases empty. The Chicago catcher then went deep again off Manaea two innings later with a runner on. Contreras now has 12 home runs this season, which is tied for the team lead with Patrick Wisdom. He also has a superb .949 OPS, and he should remain a top fantasy option behind the plate, though he could get moved to a new team before the trade deadline.

Delay was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis after Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.

Delay was called up Monday and made his major-league debut in Tuesday's matinee, going 0-for-2 with a walk. The 27-year-old has a .250/.324/.344 slash line in 22 games at the Triple-A level this season.

Casali (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Casali is playing through a hamstring issue but is out of the lineup Tuesday for the third straight game. Austin Wynns will receive another start behind the plate for the Giants.
