Muncy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-6 loss to the Mets.

Muncy gave the Dodgers a short-lived lead in the sixth inning with a 433-foot solo shot to center field. The long ball was Muncy's seventh of the campaign, six of which have come over his past seven games. During that stretch, the veteran slugger is slashing .375/.423/1.125 with 13 RBI.

Riley went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 2-0 win over the Padres on Monday.

Riley accounted for all of the offense in the contest with his two-run shot off Ryan Weathers in the first inning. The long ball was his fourth of the campaign and extended his hitting streak to eight games. Over that span, he's slashing .323/.389/.548 with a pair of homers, eight runs and four RBI.

Wisdom went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Monday's 10-1 win over Oakland.

Wisdom put the Cubs on the board with his solo shot in the second inning followed by a three-run blast in the eighth. The slugger has gone deep eight times and is currently riding a four-game home run streak. During that stretch, he's boosted his season OPS from .892 to 1.139 through 57 plate appearances. He's also now up to eight home runs on the campaign, tying the Mets' Pete Alonso for the MLB lead.

Hayes went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Monday's 14-3 win over the Rockies.

Hayes knocked RBI singles in the second and third frames before bringing home one more run with a fifth-inning sacrifice fly. He's posted three multi-hit performances over his last six games, hitting .349 (8-for-23) with a 4:2 BB:K during that stretch. On the year, Hayes is now slashing .206/.261/.349 with six extra-base hits and seven RBI.

The Dodgers released Castillo on Friday.

Castillo, who signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers in January, never saw any game action with an affiliate before being cut loose. The 27-year-old infielder, who previously received a cup of coffee in the big leagues with San Diego in 2021, will look to land a minor-league deal with another organization.

The Mets recalled Baty from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday and he will hit eighth while playing third base against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

As previously announced, Baty is officially recalled from Triple-A after scorching the pitching in the International League to a 1.386 OPS. The Mets have placed Tim Locastro (back spasms) on the injured list in a corresponding move. Baty might sit occasionally against left-handed pitching, but he should see the majority of playing time at the hot corner to begin his promotion.

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay announced that Peterson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs with a sore left wrist, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The injury occurred when Peterson rolled his left wrist on a dive during Sunday's game against the Mets. Kotsay did say that the infielder could be available if needed off the bench, so Peterson should be considered day-to-day at this point.

Vosler is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Since the Rays are deploying a lefty (Jalen Beeks) as their opening pitcher Monday, the lefty-hitting Vosler will take a seat for the third time in five games, with his other two absences also coming against southpaws. Wil Myers will get the nod at first base Monday, but Vosler should have a clear path to regular playing time versus righties at least until Joey Votto (shoulder/biceps) is activated from the 10-day injured list.

Newman (shoulder) will serve as the Reds' designated hitter and No. 5 batter in Monday's game against the Rays.

Newman was struck on the shoulder by a pitch in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Phillies, but he was deemed available off the bench for the Reds' subsequent two games before he re-entered the lineup at shortstop in the series finale Sunday, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. After checking out fine following that game, he'll stick in the lineup for a second straight day, albeit in a non-defensive role.

Double-A Birmingham placed Ramos (groin) on its 7-day injured list last Tuesday.

Ramos has yet to appear in a game for the Double-A club this season while tending to the groin injury he apparently picked up at some point in spring training. The 21-year-old infielder isn't expected to be in line for a lengthy absence, so he could be ready to make his 2023 debut for Birmingham at some point before the end of April.
