Donaldson (calf) took batting practice against right-hander Luis Gil at the Yankees' spring complex in Florida on Saturday, per MLB.com.

Donaldson has been ramping up his activity for several weeks, resuming on-field work July 30 and advancing to outfield sprints Aug. 20. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said the slugger's live hitting session Saturday went well and indicated that Donaldson could go on a minor-league rehab assignment in the near future. However, the veteran is on the 60-day IL and isn't eligible to be activated until mid-September.

Moustakas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

As usual, the lefty-hitting Moustakas will duck out of the starting nine while the Mets bring a southpaw (David Peterson) to the hill. Eduardo Escobar will spell Moustakas at third base and bat cleanup.

Riley went 1-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Giants.

The third baseman turned on a first-pitch fastball from Sean Manaea in the fifth inning and crushed it to left field, snapping a brief nine-game homer drought. The streaky Riley is slashing .278/.345/.515 in August with six long balls and 14 RBI, and he's now reached 30 home runs for the third straight season. His career high is 38, set last year, and with 34 games left on Atlanta's schedule, Riley will likely need at least one more heater to get there.

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Blue Jays.

Getting the start at third base and batting seventh, Freeman hooked a slow curve from Hyun Jin Ryu over the wall in left field in the fifth inning for his first career homer in the majors. The 24-year-old seems to be settling into a short-side platoon role all over the infield, but since returning from the IL in mid-August he's gone just 2-for-20 with six strikeouts.

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Blue Jays.

He opened the scoring in the top of the first inning by crushing a Hyun Jin Ryu fastball deep to left field, but it was the last lead the Guardians would have on the afternoon. Since returning from his two-game suspension, Ramirez is slashing a tepid .233/.298/.442 over 11 contests, but his two homers during that stretch have gotten him to 20 on the year -- the third straight season, and the sixth time in his career, he's reached that mark.

Monasterio went 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 victory versus San Diego.

Monasterio plated Milwaukee's first run with a single in the fifth inning. He was moved to second on a fielder's choice, then came around to score after stealing third base and drawing a throwing error by Padres catcher Luis Campusano. Monasterio came into Saturday in the midst of a 2-for-30 stretch over his previous eight contests, though he's been able to maintain a near-everyday role in the Brewers' lineup.

Muncy went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Saturday's loss to Boston.

The 33-year-old slugger deposited a fifth-inning James Paxton offering into the Fenway bleachers for a two-run shot, giving the Dodgers a 4-2 lead. Muncy has now reached the 30-homer plateau for the fourth time in his career. However, his batting average remains below the Mendoza Line at .197 for the year.

Bregman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two walks, a two-run homer, two additional RBI and two additional runs scored in Saturday's win over Detroit.

In total, Bregman reached safely in five of his six at-bats, being walked twice on top of his three hits. He finished the day with three extra-base hits after failing to record one in any of his last four appearances. Bregman's been on a heater of late, going 13-for-31 (.419) with two homers, 10 runs scored and eight RBI while striking out just four times in 39 plate appearances (10.3 percent).

Moncada went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Saturday's win over the Athletics.

Moncada took JP Sears yard in the third inning for his fifth long ball of the season, driving in Tim Anderson and Eloy Jimenez. The third baseman has now hit safely in seven of his last eight appearances, a stretch in which he's batting 8-for-28 (.286) with six RBI but striking out 31 percent of the time.

Hayes went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, two total RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-6 loss to the Cubs.

Hayes has seven multi-hit efforts with two homers and four doubles over his last 11 contests. His blast Saturday opened the scoring for the Pirates in the first inning, though it quickly went downhill for the home team. Hayes is up to 10 homers, 48 RBI, 45 runs scored and nine stolen bases while slashing .264/.303/.432 over 96 games this season.
