Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: Not in Sunday's lineup
Anderson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
Anderson started the past 11 games and will head to the bench after he posted a .585 OPS and 31.8 percent strikeout rate during that stretch. Raimel Tapia will take over in right field and bat seventh in Sunday's series finale.

Brett Baty RF | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Sitting versus southpaw
Baty is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
The 23-year-old is 5-for-16 over his past four games but will take a seat Sunday with lefty Matthew Liberatore pitching for St. Louis. Eduardo Escobar will man the hot corner and bat eighth.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Swats homer in win
Jung went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.
Jung hit the first of back-to-back homers in the second inning to erase an early deficit. It was his 14th of the season, ranking him second on the Rangers behind Adolis Garcia. The young third baseman's production has dropped off during June, which is something he'll have to fight through. Jung's made 285 plate appearances in 2023, the second highest career total behind his 2021 campaign in the minors, when he had a combined 342 PAs between Double- and Triple-A.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Sitting Game 1
Donaldson is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
Donaldson has a .176/.256/.618 slash line with five home runs in 11 games since he returned from the injured list at the start of June, but he'll take a seat for Sunday's matinee. There's a strong chance the veteran is back in the lineup for Game 2. DJ LeMahieu will man third base and bat fifth in the first contest.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Struggling in June
Bregman went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base Saturday against the Reds.
Bregman swiped his second base of the season, his lone bright spot in the game. He's scuffled since the calendar flipped to June, as he has only 11 hits across 57 at-bats. On the other hand, Bregman has struck out only 13 times in that span, so there is some indication that he'll be able turn things around in the near future.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Rockies' Mike Moustakas: Swats fourth homer
Moustakas went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday against Atlanta.
Moustakas made only his second start in the last eight games, with Elehuris Montero instead taking over primary duties at first base. The former did manage to take Bryce Elder deep in the fifth inning for his fourth homer of the season and second in his last 15 at-bats. Even with that production, Moustakas appears destined for a bench role and could be in jeopardy of losing his roster spot once C.J. Cron (back) is able to return.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Picks up sixth steal
Garcia went 1-for-5 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 10-9 win over the Angels.
Garcia went nine games without a steal before Saturday. He was a key piece of the Royals' walk-off win, delivering a game-tying RBI single, stealing second and then scoring the winning run on a Samad Taylor single. Garcia has a .254/.315/.354 slash line with a home run, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored and six steals through 37 contests, and he appears to be over his slump from earlier in June. He's seen most of his action at third base, primarily competing with Nicky Lopez for playing time.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Giants' J.D. Davis: Delivers off bench
Davis (ankle) went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI in Saturday's 15-0 win over the Dodgers.
Davis didn't start due as he continues to manage an ankle sprain, but he replaced Joc Pederson as the designated hitter when he entered. Davis' first contribution was a grand slam in the sixth inning, and he added an RBI single for the Giants' last run. It's too early to say the 30-year-old is over the ankle sprain, but it doesn't look like he's too far away from a return. The big game puts him at 10 homers, 40 RBI, 30 runs scored and a stolen base while slashing .291/.372/.493 over 64 contests. Davis has gone 5-for-13 (.385) over his last four games.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Swipes base in win
Machado went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Rays.
Machado drove in the Padres' second run with a single, then stole second base. The third baseman hasn't made a huge impact on the basepaths, as this was just his third steal in four attempts this season. He's had trouble getting on base, as evidenced by a .291 on-base percentage and 5.7 percent walk rate, limiting his chances to run, as Saturday's theft was his first since April 29. The 30-year-old is hitting .248 with eight home runs, 26 RBI and 27 runs scored over 54 contests in a down year.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Giants' J.D. Davis: Available off bench Saturday
Davis (ankle) will not be in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers, but he will be available off the bench to hit, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Davis will miss another game while dealing with his ankle sprain, but he told reporters that he's also available as a pinch hitter, if necessary. The infielder doesn't believe he'll need a trip to the injured list, though he isn't expected to return to the lineup until after the weekend series concludes versus Los Angeles.
