De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against Pittsburgh. He was 0-for-4 in the matinee.

De La Cruz made amends for his four-strikeout performance in the afternoon loss, crushing a 442-foot homer to tie the game in the third inning. The outfielder has four hits in 14 at-bats with a triple, a home run and four RBI since being dropped from leadoff to third in the order. The home run was his 10th in 58 games for the Reds and 22nd in 96 combined contests in the minors and majors.

Gelof went 4-for-5 with two home runs in Sunday's 8-7 loss against the Nationals.

Gelof opened the scoring with a solo home run off Trevor Williams in the first inning before adding a second long ball in the fifth. The 23-year-old second-baseman is up to eight homers this season, with three coming in his last four games. Gelof's now slashing .281/.343/.635 with 18 runs scored, 13 RBI and six stolen bases across 105 plate appearances in an impressive rookie campaign.

Wisdom went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 11-4 loss against Toronto.

Sunday's game was a microcosm of Wisdom's season, as he paired his 20th home run with three more strikeouts to raise his season total to 99 in 224 at-bats. Wisdom's role has diminished since the trade deadline acquisition of Jeimer Candelario having now started just four games since Aug. 1. Wisdom's empty power production is best served in the part-time role in which the Cubs currently have him placed.

Hayes isn't in the Pirates' lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Reds, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

After a 1-for-4 performance in Game 1, Hayes will take a seat for the second game of Sunday's action. Jared Triolo will step in as the Pirates' third baseman and bat eighth.

Urias isn't in the Orioles' lineup Sunday against the Mariners.

Urias extended his hitting streak to six games Friday but will sit for the second consecutive contest Sunday. His absence will allow Jordan Westburg to start at third base and bat eighth.

Paredes isn't in the Rays' lineup Sunday against Cleveland.

Paredes will get a break Sunday after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts during Saturday's contest. Curtis Mead will take over at third base and bat seventh in Paredes' place.

Chapman was scratched from Toronto's lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Cubs due to inflammation in his right middle finger, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

The severity of Chapman's injury is unclear, but it is apparently enough to keep him out of Sunday's contest. The Blue Jays will take a closer look at him and should offer more information in the near future. Meanwhile, Santiago Espinal will slide over to third base in Chapman's place, and Paul DeJong will enter at shortstop.

McMahon is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Dodgers.

McMahon is having a rough time at the plate in August. In his last eight games, the 28-year-old is 2-for-28. The last game he did not play in was July 16. With Sunday being a rest day, it can serve as a reset for him. In McMahon's place, Alan Trejo will start at third base and hit sixth.

Candelario is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Since being traded to the Cubs on July 31, Candelario has started in every game. With the Cubs in August, the infielder is slashing .425/.489/.625 in 45 plate appearances. Sunday will just be a rest day for the 29-year-old with Nick Madrigal getting the start at third.

LeMahieu (calf) isn't in the Yankees' lineup Sunday against Miami.

LeMahieu's sore right calf will keep him out of the lineup for a fifth consecutive game Sunday, but the veteran third baseman will be available off the bench and could return to the lineup Monday against Atlanta, per Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will continue to start at third base, allowing Billy McKinney to man left field.
