Jake Burger 3B | TEX
Rangers' Jake Burger: Powers offense with two homers
Burger went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, four total RBI and a walk in an 8-1 win over the Athletics on Monday.
Burger gave the Rangers all the runs they would need with a three-run blast off Luis Severino in the first inning. The powerful first baseman tagged Severino for another homer -- this time a solo shot -- in the eighth. Burger went deep in each of his first two games this season, but he hadn't homered again until Monday. He's at a .246/.279/.492 slash line, four home runs, 11 RBI and six runs through 68 plate appearances on the campaign.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Nolan Arenado: Turns back clock in two-homer game
Arenado went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Monday's loss to Baltimore.
It was the 25th career multi-homer showing by the veteran third baseman, who also piled up at least five RBI for the 11th time in his decorated career. Arenado's days as a high-end fantasy producer may have passed, as he's still off to a miserable start in his Diamondbacks tenure overall. Through 54 at-bats, Arenado is hitting .204 with three extra-base hits, eight RBI, one walk and six runs scored.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Swipes two bags in victory
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, a run and two stolen bases Monday in a 9-3 win against the Cardinals.
Ramirez helped generate a run in the fourth inning when he walked, stole second base and came home on a single. The star third baseman added another theft following a single in the fifth. Ramirez began the campaign hitting .133 through his first 12 games, but he seems to be turning things around. Over his past five contests, he has gone 7-for-20 (.350 batting average) with two doubles, a homer, two RBI, four walks and five steals.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Angels' Jeimer Candelario: Clears waivers
The Angels outrighted Candelario to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.
Candelario was designated for assignment by the Angels on Saturday, and he'll remain in the organization at the Triple-A level after clearing waivers. After securing a spot on the Angels' Opening Day roster, Candelario slashed just .111/.200/.222 over 20 plate appearances before being cut loose.

Ryan Kreidler 3B | MIN
Twins' Ryan Kreidler: Another start versus lefty
Kreidler will start at third base and bat ninth in Monday's contest versus the Red Sox.
Kreidler has now started both games against lefties since being recalled over the weekend. He and Tristan Gray should continue to form a platoon at third base while Royce Lewis (knee) is sidelined.

Michael Busch 3B | CHC
Cubs' Michael Busch: Taking seat for second straight day
Busch is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.
Though Busch broke a 0-for-30 drought at the plate a pinch-hit RBI single in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Pirates, he'll open a second straight game on the bench. With southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on the bump for the Phillies, the Cubs will add an extra right-handed bat to the lineup and deploy Carson Kelly at first base in place of the left-handed-hitting Busch.
-
Brady House 3B | WAS
Nationals' Brady House: Idle for series opener
House is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.
Over his last five starts, House has gone 2-for-20 with one walk and six strikeouts, so the Nationals will give him a chance to clear his head as the team opens a four-game set against the Pirates. Jorbit Vivas will fill in for House at third base.
-
Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Yankees' Ryan McMahon: Taking seat against southpaw
McMahon is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.
He'll head to the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Ben Rice and Trent Grisham while the Yankees stock up some extra right-handed bats to counter Angels southpaw Yusei Kikuchi. Amed Rosario will step in at third base in place of McMahon, who owns a .376 OPS over 42 plate appearances on the season.
-
Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Angels' Oswald Peraza: Retreating to bench Monday
Peraza is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Peraza manned the keystone for 11 of the Angels' first 13 games, but he's been out of the picture since Vaughn Grissom came off the injured list Saturday. Grissom made a pair of starts against left-handed pitchers over the weekend, while Adam Frazier is at second base Monday against right-hander Will Warren. Peraza occupied third base in Sunday's 9-6 win over the Reds and came through with solo home run, but he's slashing an unremarkable .214/.267/.405 over 46 plate appearances on the season.

Coby Mayo 3B | BAL
Orioles' Coby Mayo: Back on bench amid rough spell
Mayo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.
For the second time in four games, Mayo will take a seat while Blaze Alexander picks up another start at third base. After a strong September to close out the 2025 campaign, Mayo hasn't been able to carry over that success to the first two and a half weeks of the 2026 season. He's batting just .158/.273/.184 with a 29.5 percent strikeout rate over 44 plate appearances, with his poor form potentially putting him at risk of a demotion to Triple-A Norfolk if he's unable to turn things around quickly.
