Devers went 4-for-6 with a double, two homers and six RBI in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

Devers put the Red Sox up 5-0 in the first inning with his bases-clearing double before adding an RBI single in the fifth inning and a pair of solo homers in the seventh and eighth frames. The young third baseman has now homered four times in the last five games, going 7-for-23 (.304) with 10 RBI over that stretch.

Duffy was removed from Wednesday's game against the Yankees with right quad tightness, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Duffy walked and scored in his only plate appearance prior to exiting Wednesday's game. The Rays are listing him as day-to-day. Brandon Lowe entered the game in place of Duffy.

Burger (Achilles) is no longer wearing a walking boot, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Burger has been out since February due a ruptured Achilles, which he re-tore back in May. The young third baseman is hoping to resume baseball activities sometime after Jan. 1, with a return to game action tentatively lined up for the beginning of June.

Longoria is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Padres, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Longoria will take a seat for the first time all month as manager Bruce Bochy looks to rest the veteran third baseman with the Giants out of playoff contention. Alen Hanson is starting at the hot corner and hitting sixth in his stead.

Chapman is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.

Chapman will take a seat for the first time since the beginning of July as manager Bob Melvin rests some of his starters with the A's already qualified for the postseason and the AL West decided. The 25-year-old hit .306/.368/.571 with 30 doubles and 14 homers between absences from the lineup. Chad Pinder will start at the hot corner and hit seventh.

Escobar came off the bench to deliver a walkoff solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Escobar entered the contest in the bottom of the seventh inning as a pinch hitter for John Ryan Murphy, drawing a walk in the plate appearance before getting stranded at third base. He stayed in the game to spell Chris Owings at the hot corner and came through with the game-winning hit off Kenta Maeda after the Dodgers had tied things up in the top of the ninth. The 29-year-old is closing the season on a positive note with hits in each of his last seven games, but he's not a safe bet to play in all of the Diamondbacks' remaining four contests with the team in evaluation mode following its elimination from postseason contention a few days ago.

Bregman is not in the starting lineup versus Toronto on Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

As expected, manager A.J. Hinch decided to rest most of his starters after the club clinched the AL West following Oakland's loss to Seattle on Wednesday. J.D. Davis will start at third base while Bregman heads to the bench.

Segura went 2-for-6 with a solo home run, two runs scored and a strikeout in Tuesday's win over the Athletics.

Segura blasted a solo home run in the third inning for his 10th long ball of the year. While he's hit just .205 over 73 at-bats since the start of the month, the 28-year-old is still hitting .303 on the year and sits just two RBI away from matching the career-high 64 he produced in 2016.

Bregman went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Bregman gave Houston an early lead with a two-run homer in the first inning. It was Bregman's 31st homer of the season and snapped a drought of 14 games without one, a stretch in which the third baseman hit just .163 (8-for-49). With the Astros clinching the AL West on Tuesday, Bregman and other regulars may get some days off over the final five days of the regular season.

LeMahieu went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Phillies.

LeMahieu hit a couple RBI singles in Tuesday's contest and gathered his fourth multi-hit game in the last five days, bringing his slash line to .282/.329/.441. The 30-year-old has 61 RBI, 88 runs and six stolen bases this year. He's also matched his career high in doubles (32) from 2016 while setting a new career high in homers (15) this season.
