Walls went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's 7-1 win over the Blue Jays.

The rookie shortstop ripped two-baggers against Alek Manoah in the fourth inning and Jacob Barnes in the seventh, with the latter driving in the final runs of the night for the Rays. Walls has started four of the last five games despite the presence of Wander Franco, going 5-for-14 with three doubles and five RBI, and his glove could ensure him steady playing time in the second half even if he never emerges as a consistent threat at the plate.

Riley went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a triple, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's 5-0 win over the Marlins.

The streaky 24-year-old is heating up again. Over his last 12 games, Riley is batting .326 (15-for-46) with two homers and nine RBI, pushing his slash line on the year to .280/.364/.473 -- numbers that would be career highs in all three categories.

Escobar went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 5-2 triumph over the Dodgers on Friday.

Escobar singled in the third and poked a two-run home run just over the right-field fence in the fifth to give Arizona a lead it wouldn't relinquish. He's now among the 17 big leaguers with at least 20 long balls. He's slashing .255/.301/.488.

Machado went 2-for-3 with a double, run, RBI and walk in a 4-2 win against the Rockies on Friday.

Machado reached base in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings to go 7-for-his-last-12 with three multi-hit performances in his last four games. The veteran third baseman now has a 43:56 BB:K ratio, a drastic improvement on his 65:128 in his last full campaign in 2019.

Castro went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Friday's 13-4 loss to the Mets.

Castro entered the contest as a pinch hitter for pitcher Kyle Keller. The 22-year-old infielder hit a seventh-inning solo shot for his first major-league hit. Castro is likely to serve as depth while on the major-league roster, as Adam Frazier has a near-everyday role at second base.

LeMahieu went 2-for-5 with a two-run double and a steal in Friday's 4-0 win over the Astros.

LeMahieu drilled a two-run double and stole third in the seventh inning. It was his third stolen base of the year and first since May 9. The 32-year-old infielder has gone 16-for-48 (.333) with four multi-hit games and nine RBI over his last 12 games, raising his season OPS to .717 through 377 plate appearances.

Urias went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 12-1 loss to the White Sox.

The 27-year-old was a bright spot in a dismal loss for the Orioles, recording two of their seven hits and accounting for their only run of the night. Urias has been on a tear of late, hitting .366 with three home runs, eight RBI and just six strikeouts in his last 11 games. On the season, he now boasts a .287/.362/.468 slash line in 105 plate appearances.

Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a pair of walks in Friday's 11-5 win over Philadelphia.

The All-Star third baseman padded Boston's lead with a solo shot in the third inning off Philadelphia starter Vince Velasquez. Devers has hit three long balls in eight games in July, and he's up to 22 for the year. The 24-year-old has added 72 RBI, 59 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .287/.356/.576 slash line through 360 plate appearances.

Wisdom went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and three runs in Friday's 10-5 win over the Cardinals.

A two-run lead in the seventh inning quickly expanded as Wisdom hit a two-run shot immediately after Kris Bryant's three-run double. Coupled with a first-inning single, Wisdom enjoyed a very nice afternoon and has now gone 5-for-23 since the start of July with four RBI. Wisdom has struck out frequently though, fanning eight times in that span. Friday's performance improved his season-long average to .279.

Longoria (shoulder) will increase his baseball activity as of Friday, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.

It was reported last Saturday that Longoria has a chance of returning soon after next week's All-Star break, and Friday's update seems to go along with that timeline. The third baseman has been on the injured list with a sprained shoulder since early June and he could require a rehab assignment prior to being activated.
