Burger is not in the starting lineup Friday against Baltimore.

Burger went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI on Wednesday against the Twins. He'll take a seat Friday as Gavin Sheets handles the DH duties.

Donaldson (hamstring) is starting Thursday's game against the Tigers.

Donaldson had missed the last four games due to right hamstring soreness, but he ran the bases as part of a full workout ahead of Thursday's matchup, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. He apparently checked out fine after his workout and will start at third base and bat second in his return to the lineup.

Hayes went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk in Wednesday's 14-3 loss to Atlanta.

He's 6-for-13 with three doubles and a homer in his last three starts. Hayes has also walked twice in that stretch after walking only once in his prior 10 games. After seeing his batting average fall to a season-low .245 on July 4, the third baseman has lifted his average 14 points in three games to .269.

Farmer (soreness) is starting Thursday against the Brewers, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Manager David Bell said that part of the reason Farmer was held out of Wednesday's lineup was due to "body soreness," but he'll be back in action a day later. The 30-year-old will start at shortstop and bat eighth.

Chapman (illness) is starting Thursday's game against the Astros.

Chapman missed Wednesday's game while battling a stomach flu, but he'll start at third base and bat fifth in Thursday's series finale. The 28-year-old has gone 5-for-14 with a run and three strikeouts across his last three appearances.

McMahon went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to Arizona.

McMahon notched two base hits earlier on and then doubled home a run in the eighth to bring the Rockies within three. The 26-year-old has two multi-hit games in the first week of July but has shown some regression in the power department. He hasn't hit a home run since June 15 and has just three since June 1 after hitting 13 over the first two months of the season. For the year, McMahon is slashing .255/.316/.480 with 16 homers, 46 RBI, 48 runs scored, four steals and a 27:86 BB:K over 326 plate appearances.

Escobar went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 6-4 win over Colorado.

Escobar's three-run blast in the seventh inning increased the Diamondbacks' lead to 6-1. It looked like superfluous insurance, but it became necessary when the Rockies plated three in the top of the eighth to close the gap. It was the second homer in five games for Escobar, who is 7-for-14 with five RBI and four runs scored during that stretch. Arizona's lone representative at the All-Star game has 19 home runs and 58 RBI through 84 games.

Peterson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a 4-3 loss to the Mets in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Peterson went yard off Mets ace Jacob deGrom in the fifth inning. Factoring in Luis Urias' leadoff homer, Milwaukee was the first team to hit multiple long balls in one game off deGrom. Peterson was then the inning-opening runner in an eighth inning considered an extra frame, and he scored when Christian Yelich was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The 30-year-old Peterson is up to four homers, 19 RBI and 20 runs scored through 38 games.

Chapman is resting Wednesday due to a stomach flu, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Manager Bob Melvin said Chapman, who is dealing with dehydration, was briefly at the hospital before being released. Further updates should hint at whether the 28-year-old will return to the hot corner for Thursday's series finale in Houston.

Bregman (quadriceps) will hit on the field ahead of Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Bregman began light running at the beginning of July, and he'll take another significant step in his recovery by hitting Wednesday. While the 27-year-old has indicated that he's way ahead of schedule in his recovery timetable, he won't return until sometime after the All-Star break.
