Chapman isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Chapman had recorded hits in each of the last three contests, and he went 5-for-14 with a run and three strikeouts during that time. He'll get a rare day off while Chad Pinder starts at the hot corner and bats ninth.

Rivera (wrist) participated in fielding drills ahead of Wednesday's game against the Orioles, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Rivera still had a cast on his left wrist during Wednesday's drills, but he was still able to do some light throwing during pregame warmups. It's still not yet clear when he could return to game action as he continues to recover from a left hamate fracture that has kept him sidelined since June 30, but it's encouraging that he's still able to participate in activities while he's in a cast.

Davis (hand) isn't expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the All-Star break, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Davis has been recovering from a sprained left hand since the beginning of May, and he's made four rehab appearances at Triple-A Syracuse in the last week. He's gone 2-for-9 with a double, an RBI, three walks and three strikeouts in his rehab stint, and the Mets were initially optimistic that he could be reinstated from the injured list as early as this weekend. However, manager Luis Rojas said Wednesday he doesn't "feel strongly" the 28-year-old will return ahead of the All-Star break, so it appears as though the team will take a cautious approach before clearing Davis to return.

Manager David Bell said that part of the reason Farmer is not starting Wednesday is that he's dealing with "body soreness," Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

It doesn't sound like the soreness is something that will make Farmer entirely unavailable for a period of time, but Bell said that "the more rest he can get, the better." The shortstop figures to be available off the bench Wednesday against the Royals and seems likely to rejoin the starting nine Thursday in Milwaukee.

Moncada isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Twins.

Moncada returned from a hand injury Monday and went 1-for-9 with a triple, two RBI and two strikeouts across his last two appearances. Jake Burger will start at the hot corner while Gavin Sheets takes over at first base.

Donaldson (hamstring) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Donaldson will miss a fourth consecutive game as he continues to deal with right hamstring soreness, and he hasn't appeared off the bench in any of the last three contests. Per Park, manager Rocco Baldelli said Donaldson will be available off the bench Wednesday and will go through another full workout Thursday before it's determined if he's ready to rejoin the starting nine.

Farmer isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Farmer returned to the lineup Tuesday and went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a double in the loss to Kansas City. However, he'll get a breather for Wednesday's series finale while Mike Freeman takes over at shortstop and bats ninth.

Machado went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Nationals.

Machado came around to score all three times he reached base and also delivered a go-ahead RBI single to right-center field in the fifth inning to complement his two doubles. The 28-year-old has had a nice run to end of the first half of the season, slashing .344/.404/.667 with eight homers, 25 RBI, 24 runs scored, three steals and a 12:12 BB:K across 27 games since June 7.

LeMahieu went 3-for-6 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 12-1 win over the Mariners.

All three of LeMahieu's hits went for singles and he had all three base knocks before the end of the third inning. The 32-year-old led off the game with a base knock and then came around to score on a three-run blast by Giancarlo Stanton and later drove in a run during the third. LeMahieu has hit safely in 20 of his last 22 games and has raised his slash line to .276/.350/.375 with seven homers, 34 RBI, 46 runs scored, two steals and a 37:55 BB:K over 363 plate appearances.

Sosa went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Tuesday in a 6-5 win over San Francisco.

Sosa came into the contest without a hit in July, going 0-for-8 through four games. He turned things around with his second three-hit performance of the season. Sosa came through with a solo shot in the eighth inning for what proved to be the difference in the narrow win. The infielder is slashing .255/.335/.340 overall on the campaign.
